I wanted to like this place. I really did.
But there is a serious problem with the people working. No care at all. Ordered 4 meals. Wife got her's right away and was done before anyone even got their meal. The rest came out in stages over the longest 12 minutes of my life. There was 2 other people in the restaurant so it wasn't a busy issue. My gyro came last. 12 minutes later. A gyro should take about 2 minutes to assemble max. I asked what was going on and the nice young lady blamed it on the line and the tablet ordering? It felt to me that the kitchen was over running the front and not taking any direction at all.
The soda machine had no carbonation. I let the young lady know and it seemed like they probably knew about this for a few hours and no one bothered to change the Co2. It took them the entire time we were there to change it and once it was changed they didn't even come tell us. There is just a lack of caring and attention to detail overall.
The fries to both meals were overcooked and cold. I didn't bother saying anything after all that was happening. As long as the meals took to make they can clearly drop fresh fries for each order. They obviously are cooking in hatches and letting them sit.
The steak was actually cooked nicely though and had very good flavor. Chicken fingers were over cooked.
My "authentic" Greek gyro was sad. Very sad. Like suicidal sad. No feta at all. Tzatziki sauce had nothing in it. No cucumber or anything. Just a bland plain yogurt sauce. No love at all. No herbs or seasoning and just a couple thinly sliced tomatoes. Pic attached. And $10 to boot for this.
If the owner is working here during the day and leaving night shift to fend for themselves then this would make sense why they have so many better reviews. But I would guess they have a lot of problems later in the day. Maybe it was an off day. I don't know but for $50 I would expect a little bit more in terms of service, quality...
Read moreA business is ultimately defined not just by the quality of its food, but by the level of customer service provided when issues arise. On June 13, 2025, my partner and I decided to visit the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Winter Garden, FL, eager to try their enticing two-for-$15 deal. The individual taking our order had pink hair, and when I stated my desire to order the deal, I specifically requested the avgolemono soup along with a gyro. My better half opted for the grilled steak souvlaki, but the employee informed me that it wasnât included in the deal. I simply told her to let her choose whatever she wanted. I paid for the order without hesitation.
After taking a seat outside, we eagerly awaited our meal. My avgolemono soup was served promptly, but a few minutes later, the grilled steak souvlaki appeared while my gyro was still missing. When I pointed this out to the server, he insisted I hadnât ordered it. Frustrated, I explained the situation, emphasizing that my partner refused to eat until I received my correct order.
Determined to resolve the issue, I returned inside to discuss my order with the male employee at the register. To my dismay, he echoed that I hadnât ordered the gyro. I then identified the woman in pink hair , who recognized her error and admitted that she misunderstood my request. Instead of offering an apology and quickly remedying the situation, the male employee shockingly suggested that I should pay extra for the gyro.
This blatant failure to acknowledge a mistake and rectify it, coupled with their argumentative demeanor, was exceedingly disappointing. As a result of this experience, I have no intention of returning to this establishment and will share my story with others. Itâs clear that exceptional service is just as critical as a great meal, and this business fell short on...
Read moreWe happened upon the Great Greek Mediterranean Grill while we were on our way to go grocery shopping. It was a coincidence that today is their opening day and was invite only for friends and family. We were ready to walk away, when Kevin the host asked us if we would like to participate. We accepted and I am so glad we did. The staff was great and ready to offer suggestions. We ordered the Tirokafteri as an appetizer with a Chicken Souvlaki plate for me and a Chicken Great Greek gyro for the wife. Yummy! The Tirokafteri was so creamy and came with pita wedges. The chicken was moist and seasoned just right. For the side I ordered the Feta Fries. The wife said it was one of the freshest gyros she has had in a while. We will absolutely be back!
They cater within a radius of 8 miles for only a $35 delivery fee. They have a separate catering menu to choose from and will drive more than 8 miles for a delivery fee.
My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star...
