R’s Diner – Where Breakfast Dreams Come True and Gravy is a Love Language
Tucked away in Naples like a hidden gem that smells faintly of bacon and joy, R’s Diner is exactly what your stomach would draw if it could sketch its perfect morning. I came in expecting breakfast. I left wondering if I could legally marry the Eggs Benedict with sausage gravy.
Let’s talk about those Eggs Benedict. Traditionalists, cover your ears. Instead of your standard hollandaise, this plate came smothered in sausage gravy so good it made me question every life decision that didn’t involve gravy. The eggs were perfectly poached, the English muffin had just the right toast-to-tenderness ratio, and the sausage gravy—my God—the sausage gravy deserves its own zip code.
And the house special? Whatever voodoo magic they’re doing in that kitchen, keep it going. It’s glorious eggs, cheese, bacon, French toast and what I assume is pure happiness, all stacked in a way that screams “I hope you didn’t have plans after this meal because you're going to need a nap and possibly a hug.”
Service was fast, friendly, and just the right amount of sassy. The coffee never hit the bottom of the mug, and the waitress called me “hon,” which instantly added ten points to the experience.
If you're in Naples and not eating at R’s Diner, are you even breakfasting?

Read moreService was bad bad bad.... My family & I have been going to r's for several months. Tonight was the first day back from our vacation. The waitress was so rude. She would rather watch tv instead of taking care of her customers. I ordered nacho's NO jalapinos . I was eating them & found jalapinos so I called her over & showed her. I asked didn't I order them without . She responded I told the cook & walked away. Later I asked for a refill because she refilled everyone in our party but mine. I asked for to go boxes & she brought 1 & gave it to my sister & walked away. There were 3 more needed. We waited 5 minutes & I asked for the other 3. I asked her if there was a problem. She said she didn't have one but that I had a problem. When paying the bill of $94.00 she was more interested in watching the TV than taking care of anything. I left her a $5.00 tip & normally I would leave at least 20 percent. I will never never never go in there...
Read moreThis place was delicious! My mom and I stopped here while on vacation, and I wish this place was local to where we live. I got an omelet, and it was perfect. The biscuit was big and fluffy. I couldn't even finish it. We were there first thing in the morning, very early, and I don't think our server was completely awake yet. She wasn't super friendly, but she wasn't off-putting. I assumed she wasn't a morning person. We came here because we needed a restaurant that was open very early so we had time to eat before an excursion we had planned. It worked out great. If we are ever back in the area, we will go back. Highly recommend!!
Updated: came here with my family of 6 because I remembered it from 2 years ago. This was at lunchtime. The waitress was very friendly and the food was all delicious. My whole...
