I was really looking forward to this place! The pictures look amazing, especially the deep dish pizza! My son and I came to dine in and were so disappointed. I noticed quickly that our server was pretty green...no big deal, everyone has to start somewhere! But, let's start with the lemons she brought me. Y'all. I wouldn't give these to my worst enemy. They were old, mangled, and discolored. I gently told her that she shouldn't be serving these and she seemed totally surprised 🤦♀️ I asked about the deep dish pulizza and she suggested it would take 45 min to an hour. Total bummer. I worked for Uno Chicago grill for 10 years and we got our deep dish out in 20 minutes 🤷♀️ We opted not to order something that would take so long. Then, our mozzarella sticks came out. They were all stuck together because the cheese had melted out the sides and crisped up. But, the worst part, there was no cheese left inside. They were hollow sticks of breading 😆 You can't make this stuff up! I heard her mention it to the cook, but we weren't offered anything better. My son loves bread and cheese so then we ordered the cheesy garlic knots. 🙄 Ugh, once again, severely overcooked. The top was dark brown and all the cheese that (again) we hoped would have been melted was burnt to a crisp. Geez, the cook must have been new, too. The slices we ordered were ok. I liked them more than my son. The server asked us twice how our food was, and both times I said "its just okay" and she seemed good with that. LoL All in all, those folks need...
Read moreAs far as I'm concerned, this is the best pizza place in the Orlando area. I've tried most of them in the 20 years I've lived here, and I keep just coming back here. I also lived in New York for a year, so since then I've had a new standard by which everything else is measured.
What I usually get is just their basic pepperoni pizza, well done. But their other offerings are great, too. Really good salads.
I have a friend who used to work there, having worked at other pizza places previously, and he was impressed by Tuscany's fresh ingredients and quality food. Like actual cooking, not just processing. It's not a fast food restaurant, it's good, fresh food. But yet you order your pizza and go like a traditional American pizza place.
I would say that I wish they would add maybe just two more pepperonis on their x-large, that would be so legit. But even with that slight hmph, I still get their pizza because it's just better. It's not sweet, like so many of the fast food cheater pizzas It's savory.
It's great, I recommend it, and it will be one of the things I'll miss when I move in...
Read moreI'm super loyal when it comes to small businesses, especially when the food taste good, and it always does here. I ordered a ranchero chicken sub for carry out After a long day around 7 pm. Got home to find a dry sub with 0 ranch on it. I called in to inform them of the mistake, and the girl puts me on hold, comes back and says "sorry we didn't know it wasn't on there but we can remake it for you". That's crazy you expect me to drive all the way back to correct your mistake. How are yall in charge of making the food and don't know what was or wasn't put on the food. So I instead ask in I can get a free side of fries or something next time, ANYthing to make up for me spending my money on something I didn't enjoy eating that doesn't involve me losing out even more (driving all the way back to the restaurant), and I'm told "It should be okay let me check" then puts me back on hold....to the girl on the phone - you were nice but yeah I hung up because you shouldn't have to check on such a SMALL request and I was afraid of what I might say back if the...
