Mei Garden — Restaurant in Winter Park

I don't know what the other person said about the people there being rude, but they are super polite and remember your name and what you order and HOW you like the order to be done if you're a regular customer. I don't even have to order anymore, whenever I call and they see my name in the caller ID or when I walk in, they know how much extra chicken I like, how much egg I don't like, what kind of sauce I wish the dish to be cooked in (FYI: I use the brown sauce instead of the white sauce they have), and they give me an extra plate since they know I always ask for an extra for my daughter. Recently (as in the last 3 months) one worker has left for family business in China and deliveries cannot be made, since the two cooks are husband and wife! And the other workers are their daughters. A true "mom and pop" restaurant! The husband is the only one that drives and thus deliveries cannot be made, so in response to the other person who commented about not delivering, that's probably the reason why! The mother has informed all the customers of this already. Now, some of you reading this might say I'm biased because I know so much information about them, I must be a family friend. I am not!! The daughters simply are so friendly and treat you like family; I know all this information simply by ordering food and chatting while I wait. Granted, if it's busy, there's no time for them to chat but its all good and well for me. So if you're looking for great food, large portions, and great price, don't hesitate to come by!! 2 Fridays ago I spoke to one lady coming out with 3 huge bags & asked what she had. She said, (H. 10) "7 STAR AROUND THE WOON. I want to try other dishes, however, I always order this one! THIS DISH IS ALWAYS YUMMY!"

For the 3RD TIME LAST WEEK (Yes, I admit I would rather have this chef cook.) The (#80 Shrimp & Snow Peas ) so fresh & good! I wish I had a picture to share, however we were so intent on eating this great food that I did not think about it until it was all gone. :) The broccoli tastes fresh picked! As well as ourselves, Another Satisfied Customer Came for his favorites 3 Or More Times Last Week Too! (#CP 33 Spicy Chicken with Garlic Sauce, #80, #100, Veggie dishes are my Favorites and the (# 78) Beef Curry is a family favorite! Our neighbor gets Grub Hub, or Door Dash to deliver. Honestly, the chef at Mei Garden Chinese Restaurant, 3760 Howell Branch Road Winter Park, FL could beat any celebrity chef hands down. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT COOKING CONTEST!!! They always have good food here. This is a family owned establishment with enough seating for a few people. The place is definitely not fancy but the food is always good and you can't beat the price. I have seen them coming from the store with fresh produce on many occasions to cook am order. The food is delicious, plentiful, fresh and very reasonable priced. Plus I love being able to see them make my food and the care that goes into every dish. They are not fancy but they aremy favorite neighborhood spot for carryout.
