I’ve had food from here twice. The first time I dined in and the second time I ordered from Ubereats which honestly I was a little worried about how the food would arrive and taste. Needless to say, there was nothing to be worried about at all. My dine in experience: When you arrive you’re greeted immediately and served ice water that they then chill for you. Napkins are placed on your lap. Fresh, warm and NOT FROZEN garlic knots are given to you. I could eat those all day. Any pasta entree you order they ask if you’d like freshly grated parmesan cheese. It’s a very upscale, classy feeling. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Depending on where you sit it can be a little loud, but I honestly don’t mind that. I come from a loud family. You can ask to be seated in a quiet area if you’re feeling more romantic and want some privacy. The food: Delicious. For apps we ordered the beggar’s purse and bruschetta. The quality of the ingredients are fresh and the flavors blended perfectly together. For our entrees my fiancé ordered spaghetti and meatballs. At first I thought, how can you glam up spaghetti and meatballs? I mean how great can spaghetti and meatballs really taste right? I’ve always wondered why do people order spaghetti and meatballs when you can easily make that meal at home. Well, I understand now why it’s on the menu. Truthfully, the best spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had. I ordered a special which was lobster, shrimp, and scallops with I forget what type of pasta it was forgive me that was in this red sauce that was just divine. I don’t even like red sauce but the waiter recommended it. Parking: They do offer valet parking and there is a parking lot, however parking can fill up fast. You may have to find parking around at other establishments or make your own parking spot like other customers were doing. Ordering through Ubereats: This was a pleasant surprise. I ordered chicken tutto fresco while my fiancé ordered the lamb marsala. Both dishes were phenomenal. They did not skimp on the portions. Everything was cooked to perfection and the food arrived hot and tasted fresh. They also require that you give a PIN to the driver so your food is not stolen. I can appreciate this because you pay a pretty penny for good quality food. Overall, best Italian food around if you don’t mind spending the money, but good things aren’t cheap. And this restaurant is well...
Read moreUPDATE Had lunch here today. This time I was in the bar area. I must admit, the food was fantastic. The service was equally fantastic. I had a much better experience. The food I had was the Caprice sandwich with fries and the Seafood salad. The Seafood salad consisted of shrimp, said and crab, with greens. The light but flavorful Balsamic vignette alligned with the sparingly cut onions, red and green peppers to top the sald off very, very nicely. The flavor was just something that brought me back to my childhood. This salad is excellent, I mean, I have not tasted crab with flavor that good since I was a kid. The Caprise sandwich had more to it than I expected. Aside from the typical fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and greens, it was layered with provolone and slathered with pesto sauce. A nice fresh perspective on an old classic. Finished with a great Peroni beer to quench my thirst. Well done. I must increase the stars, especially on the food.
The "Italian" food I was served did not impress me at all. I've had better tasting versions of the food my wife and I had from local grocery stores in Italian neighborhoods. The restaurant itself is impressive due to its size, and it is also well kept. The staff work together to ensure you are well serviced. The patrons are mostly an older crowd. The desert choices were limited, and the cheesecake I had was overly sweet. The coffee was great. The food and drinks were unjustifiably expensive. I would have to go as far as saying the prices are over the top. I wish it was because they provided the best culinary experience, but this is not the case. There are better Italian restaurants in Orlando or even in Palm Beach for less money. Sorry but the food is the most important part of any restaurant. I think Totto Freco spends more money on rent and advertising than they spend on the quality of their food. Please, don't think that I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. It's just that after seeing all the commercials and receiving so many flyers through the mail, I expected more than what I got. I was especially disappointed with the food, only the main reason to...
Read moreAttended a dinner celebration tonight. From start to finish it was an ok experience. Not what I felt it could've been. After being seated, I met with the server Eric. He explained the dining layout of the evening. I ordered a cocktail (Dirty Martini) and was told this would be paid for separately from the event. I agreed to this just fine. Apps came out and were ok, basically common deli meat wrapped around sticks of Mozzarella with olives and dressing. Was ok, not quite what I thought would be served here. My drink arrived and I thanked the server. However, the drink was quite bad. Might as well given me a shot with an olive floating in it. Since that point the server Eric, literally was avoiding me the rest of the night. Someone else took my food order and they were pleasant enough. Ordered Bolognese which, the sauce was delicious, however had too much water in the plate from the pasta. About now the server Eric had avoided me over a dozen times. My coworker and I really couldn't believe this. I hadn't touched my drink since that one sip. So he decided to taste it. It was terrible. Dessert rolled around now and there it sat and the server Eric still hasn't asked me if there was something wrong or what I even thought of the food. Now I could understand if this was a servers first time, but he was bold enough beforehand to boast about working here for over a decade. So I find this even more bothersome due to this knowledge. If it wasn't for the people I was there to see, I probably would have already had words with the Manager, server Eric.. and had left. But I wasn't going to spoil our evening over this. So I would give this place an actual 4/10 based on the food tasting rather average for the price, and the ignorant treatment from the server Eric. My coworker ended up paying for my drink because apparently even if they make terrible ones, they seem to think its an obligation to have...
