Absolutely ridiculous. My husband just got home with our food. He ordered a #1 with rice, and I ordered a #29 with rice and beans.
Firstly let me start by saying that their $10 combos are now $12.99. No biggie, but change your online menu so people know. Also, if you're going to jump the price $3 a plate, make sure the plate is right.
Which brings me to my second complaint. Hubby gets all the way home in the pouring rain to see that his #1 has beans.....he HATES beans and its all over his food. He was also missing a soft taco that come with a #1. He received 2 enchiladas, no taco, and beans insteadof the rice he asked for. I was supposed to get 1 taco, 1 chalupa, and rice and beans. Instead I got, a #21 which is 1 taco, 1 burrito, 1 chalupa. I was really wanting the rice and beans since that is what I give our baby for dinner when we order out. The chips were old tasting. The taco had zero flavor to it. So not only was it not what I ordered, it was a gross mistake they made. I couldnt even finish.
We called and the lady answered the phone and said "I thought you said #21." 21....29....doesn't sound to similar to me. Not to mention my husband's beans mix up. Rice sounds nothing like beans. She said she would correct the order if we wanted to drive back. Yep....15 min back in the pouring rain to drive another 15 min back home...not happening.
Now to my last complaint.....I now have to cook after spending money to eat out. My baby has no rice and beans, my husband is still hungry since he only received HALF of his order. (No rice and missing taco) This is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, mess up one thing, maybe two small things, but both meals completely ruined, and old chips to boot, which in turn made me have to still cook. Yea, we will never be back. I guess that's what we get for ordering take out...
Read moreWe had a party of 20 adults and five children at this restaurant. Must say the service was not up to par. First, they only had one server for the whole party!!! I requested another server to speed things up and keep it efficient, but the manager said it's their policy to have one server per party!! It ended up being a disaster!! An hour later I had to advise the server to get the kids order put in first!! He got this right! Now came the order for twenty adults! It took him over ten minutes to get the orders and another ten minutes to enter the order!! The food started coming in fifteen minutes later, so now we are 1.5 hrs into being seated!! Fine, I said, we have food right...NO!!! The server has no idea who ordered what, so now we are playing a guessing game!! So another fifteen minutes later everyone had food!! Now came the big question, did he get all iru guests' request right??? NO!!! We had a plate with meat in it, we are all vegetarian!! This was explained to the server multiple times throughout the order!!! One of us got meat in his plate, so now we all checked and made sure that no one else had this issue!!! The food details were missing for five of our orders. I mean we ordered what was in the menu and it came with items missing, our enchilada plates were all messed up and four of them had no vegetables on them as advertised in the menu!!! At this time we just gave up. Ate what was there and looked at the bill!! 18% gratuity was already added!!! Which I'm happy to pay if the service was good or even half decent!! But the service was sub par, I didn't argue and paid the gratuity and some money to the one server, because he was working hard. I believe the management is responsible for having these non-efficeint policies and needs to take better care of the guests who visit here in...
Read moreA friend and myself went here on suggestion during Taco Tuesday. The place was packed and the wait was very long. We squeezed into a couple of chairs at the bar and waited almost 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. My friend ordered their huge margaritas and got pretty blasted off a half gallon of drink. I don't drink so I assumed they were mixed strong as I've seen this friend drink plenty and be fine, he's Canadian for crying out loud.
The server who did end up helping us was nice, but clearly the restaurant was too busy for the number of people working. The tacos didn't take too long to arrive and were flipping delicious. I had four and the meat was very flavorful, the shells were nice and crispy warm, and the lettuce and cheese seemed fresh.
The open kitchen was also nice because you know they aren't screwing around with your food when you can see the cooks doing their thing.
Overall, I would not go back to this place on another special night like Taco Tuesday, but I would go back in general.
My suggestion to the owner or manager would be to hire an extra bartender who only makes the drinks for the tables and don't allow each server behind the bar to make their own drinks for tables. This caused a lot of confusion and everyone I asked if they could take our order kept telling us they weren't our server. Every restaurant I have ever worked in, the only people behind the bar are the bartenders and the bar back. I bet my friend would have had more to drink and I know I would have ordered more tacos if our bartender was actually there to help us and not running around waiting on all the tables in the bar area. Loss of profit to the restaurant and tips from the servers. Great...
