Uhm, this has to be the worst Wendy's experience we've ever had! We were on a road trip and decided to pull off for some lunch. Decided on Wendy's because normally they're a reliable choice for good fast food and service. We walked inside to order food and take a break from driving. The lobby was ice cold, like colder than outside in late November cold. Like your finger were going numb from the cold. 🥶 Another family and an older couple walked in behind us and we all joked that it seemed like they were keeping the lobby so cold to dissuade people from eating there. There was no one at the counter just inside to assist with the automated checkout experience. There's three screens where, like many fast food chains, to presumably save on food costs, they've cut out the "human experience" and now our frustations as customers can be directed towards computers vs. people. Their ordering menu is overcomplicated, impersonal, and frankly a real pain. We had to start over three times to order a spicy chicken nugget meal for one of our kids because when you select the "chicken option" it doesn't let you turn it into a combo meal. There's a separate selection for combo meals, but it only shows regular chicken nuggets. However, once you select the regular chicken nugget combo meal, you can then change to the spicy nugget selection. It was a whole thing...I digress. After we ordered (finally) a staff member walked through the front door, walked behind the checkout counter and I believe may have clocked in. We jokingly said we wished he was there 5 minutes before as we all struggled to oder our meals. He just looked at us and walked off. No acknowledgment and seemed annoyed. When our food came out the fries were soggy. They directed us to get our drink cups from "over there" and pointed towards an "all in one ice and soda machine". Just a few minor issues...there were no cups because they hadn't been restocked, the machine had no ice, and several of the soda options were out. When staff were made aware by our family and others who came in behind us, they seemed once again annoyed. So annoyed that the older couple I mentioned earlier said something out loud about how unimpressed they were with the service and staff response. Needless to stay, I think whoever has read this far gets the gist, it was bad. I don't normally publicly torch a business, but the whole thing was excessively bad. If I were a manager or owner, I would want to know. If I were another customer, I would say go to the gas station Subway restaurant across the...
Read morei havent been to Wendys in over 20+ years. the day that i finally went reminded me why. my sister was starving, we just finished doing laundry & it was too early for our Costco trip. Wendy's is about a mile or so away, their tv ads shows some improvement so i'd thought i'd give it a go. the place was empty but they have a lot of workers. i figured maybe the breakfast rush is over. we used the kiosk & placed our orders. my sister had the egg & bacon croissant combo & i had the egg, bacon muffin combo. i wont complain about the wait even if its still a wait - mind u they're NOT busy. nobody in the drive thru & we were the only customers inside. the order finally came & my sister went to the soda fountain. i was looking @ the food - it was the most miserable looking thing. the sandwiches were so small it looked like kids meal. i spent close to $17 i guess i expected something filling or @ least feed a normal size kid. it is what it is, i said to myself. i went to get a drink, Sweet Tea. filled up my cup w/ ice & poured down the tea & went back to my table. i thought i was seeing things, but there was a big dark thing floating in there. the bottom of the cup had some kind of debris. i didnt want that & not about to drink from that. i took pics then i went back to the counter & showed it to the employee. she immediately took it back & gave me another cup. no apologies, idk if she's just as shocked as i am or too busy to acknowledge the problem. next thing i saw was a guy who took the whole sweet tea dispenser & that was the end of it. i ended up filling w/ rootbeer. the point is, & i do have one, if i manage that store i would make sure that ALL the equipments, everything needs to be cleaned @ the end of the day. God only knows when the last time it was cleaned & im not about to come back & find out. i dont really like to say anything bad about anything. but it happened & i am not happy w/ it, esp. after spending that much for breakfast. this comment/experience may or may not affect the store but please, be mindful of things if the company cares. this is another painful reminder why i dont...
Read moreI have cut out fast food for the most part but this morning I was hungry and in a rush so I stopped by on my way home. I got there not even 30 min after opening so I figured everything would be fresh. The potatoes were barely warm but at least they were edible. I got the sausage breakfast sandwich and it’s one of the worst things I’ve ever had. It was soaked in grease and the bread was so hard I could barely bite through it. After taking my first bite I immediately spit it out and was so sick I couldn’t eat anything else.
I called multiple times with no answer, I went back and when I walked in the employees were sitting on stools in their phones and didn’t acknowledge me at all. Then I walked up and told them the issue and the lady replied “well the English muffin is always a little hard it’s a muffin” which I corrected her that at least they’re edible in which this one was not. I told her I came in the morning and she said “oh yea the guy took your order he’s my boss I remember you” and I stated yea I got the 2 for 3.
Then she just said okay. I had to ask what could be done and she said I could order something else but I don’t want anything else so I asked for a refund and she said “well I don’t know how to do that” and I told her I didn’t want anything else.
At this point the other employee finally got off her phone and came over to help and asked what it was and the First Lady cut me off and said “I don’t know she won’t tell me” and I said I did say it multiple times. She asked again and I told her 2 for $3 and the First Lady said “oh $3.20”
Then while they were getting my refund the lady kept talking about it and looking over at me.
Worst experience....
