Tried for the first time Saturday night, and plan on returning. We waited about an hour for a table for 3. There was a gift shop to browse through and burn time. It was very busy and somewhat crowded, but that is to be expected for a Saturday night during prime time. The staff was friendly and appeared to be working efficiently as a team. Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server who communicated with us that ticket times in the kitchen were taking a little longer than normal, due to the crowd. I appreciated her letting us know upfront, and we weren’t in a big hurry, so it didn’t matter to us. To my surprise everything seemed to come out in a reasonable amount of time. We were never left wondering where our food was, or if we were forgotten about. Service was excellent! I had the blueberry mash cocktail, we ordered a couple of appetizers, crab dip & cheesesticks, and had chicken alfredo and the bacon wrapped filet mignon, that came with salad bar. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned, which seems to be really hard to find in this area. My son enjoyed the chicken alfredo as well. I will say, after the appetizers and salad, we were quite full, even before our entrees arrived. We look forward to returning!

The food is delicious but I have one main etiquette about this restaurant that has appeared numerous times that I wish they would correct. The salad bar the cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach etc are in whole pieces on salad bar. They give you a tiny bowl for salad bar. First, you can not cut those pieces of food in a tiny bowl. It is just frustrating!! If they are trying to save money and keep the items in whole pieces to keep fresh and from being messy; they need to provide a salad plate!! Otherwise, we are not receiving the proper amount of food for the prices. I watch as a person tomato flies across the table onto the floor or food flies on table and is not fit to eat. I know I have mention to them before but they just to do not seem to care about the quality and standards of service. This is why we do not go there much anymore. My last visit was a reminder why I am unable to enjoy the full meal experience. Maybe they will correct this in the future. This is not a fast food restaurant so put salad plates out instead of bowls. This would be much appreciative. Other wise the food is good & the staff seem nice everytime we attend this restaurant.

Went there last night for my birthday. 5 people, came in around 615. We had Nianna as a server. She was knowledgeable about market prices. She had good recommendations for food and drinks. Our drinks never emptied. She was attentive the whole night, even when it got busy. My husband got the grouper which we were both surprised by the size. It was an entire half fish. I got the balsamic chicken with sauteed vegetables. It was the softest chicken I've ever gotten at a restaurant. The vegetables were cooked just right for me. My oldest got the BBQ burger. He kept saying how it was the juiciest burger he ever had. The bite I had was very flavorful and soft. It was cooked exactly as ordered. My daughter got the Alfredo. That Alfredo cream sauce was THE BEST I've ever had, even compared to the one I make at home. It had a depth of flavor unmatched. The salad bar was just salad. I thought it might have had different kinds of salads but it was a simple, basic bar. Nianna brought me a birthday cake and sang me happy birthday. It was the first time we'd ever been to wolf bay but it won't be our last.

Went here to have lunch yesterday 6-25-25 . I ordered the whole fried flounder and chose fries for my side .

My girlfriend ordered the burger with fries .

We started off by me getting some stuff off of the salad bar (deviled eggs, potato salad, and coleslaw.

Shortly after eating the Cole slaw my stomach began to cramp and I felt slightly uncomfortable. More and more time goes along and I’m waiting for our food and when it arrives I have had cramps ongoing at this point .

I taste the flounder (very poorly seasoned fish the grease taste that was left in it was on the older side almost burned ). The fish was also very very overcooked .I begin trying to force myself to eat this fish because I was wondering if it was the fact I hadn’t ate that I wasn’t feeling wel.

I force feed myself 3-4 bites of this very unseasoned flavorless overcooked fish and decided I was not going to eat anymore .

I ask my girlfriend how her burger is and she said incredibly dry and lacking flavor . So she may have eaten 2-4 bites out of her burger .

At this point I’m feeling worse so we decide it’s time to leave .

My girlfriend prefers to be the nice one when the waitress (who was awesome) asked us if we wanted to-go boxes. Noticeably the food had hardly been touched and no one bothered to ask if everything was okay. She packs hers into a box and I leave mine sitting there uneaten as it wasn’t good to begin with I’m definitely not taking it home .

She gets her burger in a box and we leave and I get to the house and end up having a long night of cramps and nausea. This made for a very uncomfortable night especially being on vacation. The cramps and nausea last until 2:30 in the morning

I called the restaurant today and talked to a manager named Steve and explain to him everything that had taken place.

He went on to say oh that’s weird. I haven’t heard of anything happening like that and basically saying he would check into it and brushing it off.

Long story short is the customer is not always right here and he had the attitude and I guess you could say temperament of oh well I haven’t heard anything else and sorry the food sucked have a nice day.

No offer to correct the situation nor reimburse me the 80.00$ with tip paid for a meal we didn’t even eat. Don’t go here it’s not good at all. I can’t say I was food poisoned here but I can say that was the absolute worst fish I have ever tasted (or lack there of ) in my life . I would save my money if you’re thinking about eating here.

It is not good at all and something there 100% messed up my stomach .

Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else . Management does not care about this experience and didn’t make a single attempt of any kind to make it right . That tells you that these are people working there that only care to draw a check and truly don’t care about the business or the reputation of...

My family and I always come here every year we come to the beach. Unfortunately after last night we will never be back. The waitress (I will not insert her name here) spilt a drink all over my mom. She was soaked and everything in her purse was almost ruined. The waitress did not seem to even care. She cleaned up the water in the floor half way and did not even offer my mom anything to dry herself off with. I had to ask her to bring us napkins for my mom to dry herself and her purse off. She sat through dinner in a soaking wet dress. Someone at the table needed a refill and we had a waitress come up and say, “we won’t let her near a pitcher,” and then proceeded to laugh. She acted as if it was a joke. I thought when we received the bill we might would’ve gotten a discount at least. Unfortunately we did not. Our food for 5 people each getting small meals was almost $200. It is not worth it at all. The food has always been good but has went down in the last couple of years. The salad bar was not filled and the lady who was attempting to fill it was so rude. She stepped in front of me as I was about to move and did not even say excuse me or let me know she was coming through causing me to almost run into her. The appetizer was not worth it at all. Do not waste your money here. You are better off going to the Shrimp Basket for better food...

I have recently noticed in, February 2024, that the price of draft beer has significantly up here. A couple weeks ago it was $5 for draft beer, which is higher than other restaurants around, and this week has now gone up to $6 draft beer in the evenings, even though the federal government says that inflation is going down. I guess my only option is to go to other restaurants and clubs which are more reasonable!

The below was from last year. We ordered the lunch special "beef medallions" today with sweet potato mash and beans sides. The sweet potato mash not very warm and the beef medallions were so tough that I couldn't eat the first bite because I couldn't get it cut. When We complained to the waitress, she took it back and came back later and said that these beef medallions were made from a different part of the beef. They said we could have something else instead. We decided to have a one trip to the salad bar instead. We were very disappointed in the condition of this special beef Medallion meal. We feel that it should not have even been served with the beef that tough. We have had this same meal before and the medallions were so tender that you could eat them with a fork and all the sides were warm as they should be. We hope that Wolf Bay corrects this situation and returns to the good meals that they...
