'23/6 1st time customer/review (late lunch, weekday @ 3p opening): -- Very easy to find on busy street corner, as location occupies the entire s.e. lot. Plenty of free parking (paved in front, & unpaved in back). One handicap spot at front door. -- This unique, fast-casual (walk-up counter order and pickup) co-restaurant/brewery (two businesses under one roof) opens at 3p, so geared towards the early dinner through evening crowd (late night on weekends). The interior sports the look of an indoor food truck (how the restaurant side of the business started--see pix posted of their process going from mobile to brick-n-mortar food offerings). -- Good use of limited indoor space consisting of one large table/chairs (12 can share, all bartop height), then wall counters (all also bartop height except one normal height w/4 chairs). Given there is a front and back door, plus all orders patrons have to walk up order/pickup, this indoor area will be quite full of activity/noise when this establishment is hoppin'. -- Plenty of outdoor seating via rustic, wooden park bench-type seating under two beautiful, mature trees adorned with cafe lights and providing 90% shade. A thoughtful, above-ground koi pond delights as patrons are shielded from the sun by the trees and car noise by the building. The dog friendly, fenced outdoor seating area also sports three different stand-up games (corn hole, connect four, and ladder ball) to enjoy while socializing and imbibing on the craft brews. -- Quite the extensive menu options for such a small, original Cal-Italian scratch kitchen. Plenty of unique food and drink choices to return regularly to check out. The Peach & Proscuitto Fry Bread special was a fabulous, savory appetizer or dessert. Sweet tooths take note that four types (summer offerings) of frozen confectionary encrusted ice cream balls await trying out (rolled in graham crackers, brownie, peach pieces, lemon...
Read moreI drive by this place daily heard good things knocking 2 stars for- I walked in at the same time as another lady not in the same party she walked up to the beer window and a gentleman from the kitchen side came over she said “I’m back!” All excited. Now whether he remembers her or not atleast say welcome back. His attitude was we were unconvincing him and actually making him work. Half the point of coming to a brewery is the people that work there and this was a turn off. Since I had never been I asked him which one is more popular A or B he said it doesn’t really matter which one? And usually when I ask that they say well it’s ones more popular or people prefer this one. Since I had never been that usually is what I get first the fan favorite of the crowd. Within 3 minutes of being here I just didn’t feel welcomed.
The next star is seating. Inside sucks I get it it’s small but there’s only one high top the rest face the wall like you’re on a time out not suitable for groups only really for a single if they are anti social or maybe working on a laptop so it was to the patio. The chair selection is my other turn off. It was either picnic tables that were all taken or the low to the ground angle beach chairs that if you sit in them they are so low to the ground they are hard to get out of. And they lean so far back you might as well take a nap. Can there just be some regular chairs that can be moved around so you can pull them up to the picnic tables and or move near the low angle beach chairs. It was fine it did the job but there are other breweries that are better and I’ll most likely go farther to go there, was hoping the nearby one to me would be a...
Read moreI was very pleased with my all around experience here. First time here tonight and I found out it's a very friendly family run operation. The kind of place my family loves to support. Small inside venue with a large shaded outdoor area and koi pond and plenty of tables and games. Lots of parking available in the back. Their craft beers are very good and with a Blonde, PA, IPA, Porter, Wheat, etc. The Blueberry Pale Ale and West Coast IPA were winners in my book; light and refreshing but with an impressive ABV. They also have high quality locally brewed ciders and quite a few wine options for those who don't like beer. The food was fresh and equally diverse with vegetarian, internationally inspired and some spicy options. I didn't try it this time but I've been told the pasta is homemade fresh. Highly recommend the polenta fries. I had them Americana style but they also have Mexican and Italiano style and all look amazing. I also had the Italian pizza. It was very tasty with the perfect amount of toppings and dough. The crust was delicious, not too thin and not too thick. Overall the food was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I'm looking forward to bringing some friends and trying more of their food and future...
