Finally got time to try Jude’s BBQ. First thing I noticed - wonderful smoke smell inside the place. Second, the owner works the counter, slicing brisket. Ordered two brisket sandwiches. He asks, “Fatty or Lean?” (never had a bbq place ask that if me before). I said his choice, so he gave us a bit of both. Toasted buns. You can get them topped with sauce, pickles, slaw or pickled red onions. We ordered slaw and beans as sides.
Verdict: Yum! Some of the best brisket i’ve had in a very long time. No dry spots, not tough, not overly fat, nice crust & smoke ring. Slaw tasted homemade, beans were loaded with meat & flavor. Sauce is nice, not too ketchupy or sweet, but no burn.
Also available were spareribs, pulled pork, sausage and (today) beef short ribs.
Everybody was masked & gloved up. Hand sanitizer is available on a table.
He said they run out early and close when they do, so come early.

Read moreI had actually planned to eat somewhere else. The restaurant fortunately for me was closed. I entered the bbq shop which was a 100ft from the other restaurant. A young man pleasantly greeted me and helped me walk through the menu. I ended up choosing a rib plate with their burnt end beans and mac n cheese. Good god the ribs were amazing. No sauce needed for me and I ussually sauce my own ribs I smoke at home. Great flavor from the smoker. I was also pleasantly pleased with the beans. Great flavor and texture. I did use a lil sauce on the last 2 ribs. The hot bbq sauce was on point just like ribs. Pleasantly surprised and happy I got the chance to enjoy some real bbq. Restaurant was very clean, staff was very friendly, my order was perfect and I was given a good amount of napkins and silverware also for my to go order. Read moreWent to this barbecue place last year but it was closed. Went back yesterday and picked up a rack of pork ribs. Also a small side of sweet potatos with walnuts/pecans (I forgot which).
The ribs were outstanding. The meat was so tender it had me sucking on the bone! You can tell the quality of barbequed meat by the way it taste without all the sauces and condiments. These ribs needed no additional sauce or anything to enhance their smoked flavor. Although I did use a little of the sauce provided on the side, it was tangy and sweet at the same time. Most importantly,, it doesn't overpower the meat. A little bit goes a long way.
The sweet potatoes were tasty as well and complimented the ribs very well. The only thing about this dish was that were a bit too many walnuts/pecans for my taste. Never the less, I will be returning soon to try their brisket and...
