I have to say when I found the shop on Merrill in Fontana I was very pleased with the taco special. Piping hot fresh tacos of the best pastor and lengua and service was fast that I've found so far in the IE. It was not far from work so it became my spot for lunch or after work. One day I was driving through Norco and right before my eyes I found one of their other locations. I had to stop. After small talk with a Caballero in Horse City USA, he tells me if you wanna eat like a cowboy get the LOADED TORTA. Say what, loaded torta? Yup. It's not on the menu so you have to request it. Ok, so I do that. Girl asks what 2 meats you want. Uhm let's do carne asada and pastor. Everything that goes on it? yes everything! Two thick slices of grilled Mexican panella cheese, grilled ham, beans, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, avocados on a giant grilled roll! Oh and some pineapple agua fresca! She calls my number I grab my plate.... OMG! This is not even close to what I imagined. The size of this torta was easily the largest I've ever seen. (See photo). Half the torta nearly filled me, but I fought on. I managed to eat but it was a struggle! In many cases places make big food items and they're sloppy and tasteless. All gimmick. Not here. This was packed with flavor. I forgot to mention that I also topped it off with pickled onions and habaneros and some guacamole sauce. Peoples eyes were on me as I sat down and I stared at it for a good 2 minutes. One family asked how you going to pick that up? I said, I haven't thought that far yet. Good question. I thought of a knife and fork. Then I said nah!!! So I slowly picked up the smallest portion and spun it around to start on the narrower end of the torta.
Holy guacamole!!! Meaty, cheesy, creamy avocados and crispy torta roll was all in my mouth chomping away... So freaking good!! Ok, enough is enough. Go there and order yours. I promise you if you go there hungry and get this you'll be beyond satisfied. Great job Tacos El Guero! ...
Read moreI was in Fontana today taking care of some business and as I was going down the street there was this place called Tacos El Guero so I stopped in to get a carne asada burrito I can't really say this for most burrito places that I ever go to or that I have ever been to the burrito was packed with carne asada from the very first bite to the last bite and I can't say that I can't say that for most burrito places because some burrito places you eat it's like maybe a mouthful of rice or mouth full of beans but this place has it full from the top to the bottom of carne asada and they had some fresh Agua fresca's drinks my wife tried the Jamaica she said it was really good that it wasn't bitter but it was perfect and I tried the coke Mexican style in the bottle nice and ice cold the Mexican music was going on full blast which provided a great atmosphere to eat but you got to watch out this place packs up pretty quick so I suggest you get...
Read moreFirst of all they need more organization, that's fersure my number 1, so for example people are waiting in line to order food and people that ordered over the phone just go straight to the front of the line and pick up there orders, yes I get you ordered over the phone but everyone else waiting in line is waiting long as it is and then you have those phone order people walking to the front they should have another cashier taking care of the carry outs! 2 they take way to long to get your food, I ordered 1 menudo, 1 plate of 5 tacos, and 2 tacos on the side for my wife daughter and I, and it took 45 minutes! That's insane in-n-out doesn't even take that long and they have atleast 30 plus cars in line, that's the whole reason why I dont give them 5 stars, or 4 stars, but let me tell you the food is great! Authentic, fresh, and very good but its crazy to have to spend an hour to order and...
