Fat Tracy's — Restaurant in Forest City

Been driving by this place for quite a while. This time as we were driving by as usual, I said to my wife, you wanna try it? She didn't readily answer so I took that as ok. LOL. We went in and looked for a spot in the main room but all tables were either not cleaned or had a couple of folks at them. It was around 130. We went into the second room and found a seat. All tables were cleaned here. Service was prompt and friendly. We received plenty of their attention. Good variety on the menu and they told us they would have ribs that night. We both had burgers. They were great. Loved them. We asked for crispy fries and that's what we got. We will return. It's funny that it took a special effort to decide to go in but we were both glad we did. It has a 50s shake shop type decor. Cute. Gotta keep an open mind, right? Sometimes...

Server was nice. The sides were good, potato salad was probably the best. Hushpuppies were very plain and a little oily. Mac n' cheese was creamy. Standard baked beans. Brisket left much to be desired, mine was very dried out and had been holding for a while, needed plenty of barbecue sauce to get it down. Food wasn't overly salted which was nice. Tea was about as sweet as it gets. Price was not overly expensive, which improved the overall experience. Ribs are only available on Fridays and Saturdays. Fat Tracy’s was helpful, on time, and delicious! I ordered catering for a company event for 50 people and they helped us figure out exactly how much food we would need according to the number of sides and meats we picked out. They were friendly and helpful when we had to split the bill 3 ways, needing receipts for each, and we even had to increase our order the day before the event and they didn’t blink an eye.
