Taqueria Palafox — Restaurant in Forest Park

So I normally speak SO HIGHLY of this hidden gym, but today I’ve had a terrible experience, SO it’s Halloween and stop by to grab a few chicken birrias, I come here maybe 3x a week if not every other day, for This same order, most times with a side of elote and Jamaica, I ordered as usual, payed, left, picked up some pizza for the Halloween party, stopped by a store to get more candy and went home, took the kids to a few houses for candy and had my mouth set on those delicious chicken birria, I opened the tray and ITS STEAK (red meat) which I DONT DO!!! I called, and they asked me to bring them back, got there and waited, all to get home and try to eat them again and they still have the steak on them, it’s like they took most of the steak off of the tortilla and just added chicken to it, which is a HUGE NO NO, in the food service industry, as you can see I ate one but then felt a little funny, and got half way through the second one before I realized that it wasn’t charred cheese or onions, it’s left over steak, so for this I’m giving them 1star hopefully they would appreciate their customers a little more and just to take those couple of minutes to show that appreciation! So I really hate that I have to rate this so low because it’s my favorite.. But today really let me down😔. First I ordered 3 birria taco n a smoothie and corn for some odd reason she only heard corn and smoothie now we have to go back in order whit h is no problem but I’ve been up charged 3 birria come out too 13.42 and 3 birria with smoothie is 13.99 . Now with all that being said the card machine stop working food getting cold finally get my good don’t no what cook or why cut 2 of the biggest holes in the broth like wattttttttttt of course that went all in the bag so no broth so I don’t even get to enjoy my tacos not sure what happened here today but the food truck thing kinda...

I've been looking for a high quality drive through taqueria for some time, and I finally hit the jackpot. I can't count the number of times I've passed this place and didn't even notice it. My birria and chorizo tacos were hot and fresh. The cheese on the birria tacos pulled about five inches before breaking. The consume had a nice flavor-to-spice balance, and the onions and cilantro hit my palate perfectly. There were several other people waiting outside or in the drive through, and everyone had their order within ten minutes.
