Nestled along the stunning shores of Fort Lauderdale, Sandbar Grill beckons with promises of sunshine, sea breeze, and sensational flavors. As I embarked on my culinary adventure to this waterfront gem, I couldn't wait to indulge in its coastal charm and delectable offerings.

As I stepped into Sandbar Grill, I was immediately greeted by the soothing sounds of crashing waves and the salty tang of ocean air. The restaurant's laid-back atmosphere and beachfront location set the stage for a relaxing dining experience. With its open-air seating and panoramic views of the azure waters, Sandbar Grill effortlessly captures the essence of coastal living.

The menu at Sandbar Grill boasts an enticing array of seafood delicacies, grilled specialties, and refreshing cocktails. From freshly shucked oysters and succulent shrimp cocktails to mouthwatering fish tacos and juicy burgers, there's something to tempt every palate. I opted for the grilled mahi-mahi, served with a zesty mango salsa and accompanied by a side of crisp, golden fries. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the ocean breeze and picturesque backdrop.

The service at Sandbar Grill was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met promptly and courteously. From recommendations on the menu to accommodating special requests, the team went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting ambiance.

My experience at Sandbar Grill was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was transported to a tropical paradise where time seemed to stand still. Whether you're seeking a leisurely lunch with friends, a romantic dinner for two, or a sunset cocktail by the sea, Sandbar Grill offers the perfect setting to unwind and savor the flavors of the coast.

Sandbar Grill is a culinary haven where sun, sand, and flavor converge to create an unforgettable dining experience. So why not escape the hustle and bustle of the city and indulge in a taste of paradise at Sandbar Grill?

Cheers to good food and even...

I have been here 30 times and have brought friend's from Europe and family to this wonderful place but Sunday evening it was not that great. The waiter Was pretty pushy and we ordered our drinks and calamari and waited. I’d say about 30 minutes for our calamari and it came out cold and of course in order to know it was cold. We ate some and told the waiter, we were disappointed in it because it was cold he didn’t say anything but all through that way he kept asking us to order our entrée we kept telling him no we wanted our calamari first then our dinner came out. I had ordered The shrimp basket my french fries were cold, but my shrimp was hot. Then we got our bill for two it totaled $99.90 they had added an $18.79 gratuity to it so I went inside to ask them to take the gratuity off and they said they wouldn’t do it because it states on the menu that they had a gratuity I didn’t see that but two people have a hamburger with onion rings and a shrimp basket a margarita a small glass of wine and the calamari that was cold $99.90 was just too much money to pay I used to love to come to this restaurant and especially to bring all of our friends from Europe. There were times that we would have a table of nine or 10 and I think that our bill was 200 and something but we were never charged her gigantic gratuity like that and I always tip but this time they didn’t deserve no $18.90 so please beware if you’re going to this...

Super upset with everything about this place. I ordered and sandwich and a salad. While we were waiting for our food the sever never came back to ask if I needed a new water as it was already gone. Finally the food comes out. The salad is wrong (I asked for not tomatoes or peppers) she takes it back and I start to eat my sandwich. Which mind you was dry as eating sand. Mind you I still have no water. I took my boyfriends now iceless water because it was so hot. To the point it was warm water. I eat half the sandwich and the server finally comes back and says oh you still don’t have your salad. She starts to walk away I say excuse me because I was going to ask for a sauce so I can put it on the dry sandwich and she looks back and just gives me the wait a second finger. Which I was shocked by. My salad comes back and she tells me it’s been sitting in the back. I told her about my sandwich and she says “well you ate half of it” and walks away. My boyfriend and I both have nothing to drink. I had to walk up to the bar and talk to someone who said they would talk to her and handle the bill. Which wasn’t what I was looking for I was more interested in ordering something different but it was never offered. They took half the sandwich off my bill. I also had to walk inside and have someone else take my card because the server never came back. My entire week I spent in Fort Lauderdale this was the by far...

Sandbar Grill is a gem right on the ocean, with easy access off A1A—one of the few spots in Fort Lauderdale where you can dine with waves practically at your feet. We visited on a Monday at 8 AM, and it was a perfect start to the day. Our waitress, Kim, was fantastic—super helpful in guiding us to customize our meal just the way we wanted. Her suggestions made all the difference. We ordered the Famous French Toast, which lived up to its name with thick, fluffy slices and a sweet, cinnamon-kissed flavor. The build-your-own omelet with locally sourced tomatoes was a highlight—those tomatoes were ripe, juicy, and bursting with freshness, a testament to their quality. The menu’s simplicity paired with the oceanfront vibe made it feel like a laid-back beach escape. For the first half-hour, we shared the place with just six others, giving it a quiet, intimate feel. By 8:30 AM, it started buzzing with energy. Be ready to chat—this spot has a friendly, communal atmosphere where guests strike up conversations like old friends. It’s part of the charm; breakfast here isn’t just a meal, it’s a social event. The staff’s warmth and the fun, casual vibe make it a standout. If you’re craving a waterfront breakfast with great food and good company, Sandbar Grill delivers. Just get there early if you prefer a quieter start!

It was ok. prices are way high. I've been visiting here since the grill bar inception years ago. Ownership hands have changed, renovations have been redone several times over. Its lost all its beach charm simplicity, even the hotel itself. But someone who has never been here or haven't seen the changes like I have will be impressed. You will fall in love with the location. Its what brings me back. I don't mind the prices but I do mind the quality of the food. the burgers was great! the salads were "meh, kind of hard to eat in the bowl they serve it in as well., all the toppings to the top and if you try to mix it you lose half of it on the table. the lobster roll was meh, wouldn't order again. However I am speaking from a 23 years chef POV. The drinks are wine based and in the past were always good, I do not know who came up with the daiquiri process now in that machine but it was horrible for me and my company at our table. We also love that they use paper straws, being the turtles lay their eggs right in front. They just don't belong in those drinks. Maybe look into yogurt straws for your two daiquiri's instead. The sandbar staff however, exceptional service! friendly, honest and hard working including the cooks in the back. All in all, still a good experience with phenomenal views.

I went to the Sandbar Grill this past Friday morning for breakfast upon arrival I was greeted by a lady told me that there was no parking anywhere on the property. After securing parking two blocks away arrived, and returning to the restaurant area I talked with the lady name Alicia advising her that there should be some parking available to patrons of the restaurant she advised me by yelling at me telling me that there is very limited amount of spaces only paying guests could use them. It should be noted that the person I met for breakfast was given a parking spot with the valet ticket for free. Upon entering the restaurant it was already after 11, and I found out that breakfast was not being served anymore. I missed out due to having to park up the street. The service was terrible took at least 10 minutes for my order be taken which was done by a manager. The food came in a timely manner. I ordered the blackened chicken wrap which came with two sides. Due to dietary restrictions I did not get any of the sides. The wrap for $15 was small and tasted bland. Due to lack of parking and terrible service I would avoid going to this restaurant. This is my first and last time at the Sandbar Grill
