*Quarantine Pick Up Review* Ordered for pick up one early Saturday evening. I couldn't find them on any apps (which is understandable, especially right now since I've been reading that these apps take a huge chunk of the profits). But it's also kind of annoying because it means 1. I have to call to place an order, and talk to people (but I guess at this point, human interaction is nice) 2. Hand-off of a credit card to pay (BTW, they don't accept Amex) 3. Because of said hand-off of credit card, you have to touch one of the germ pens to sign the receipt. I did think of bringing my own pen, but didn't have that thought until mid-drive, and there were no pens in the car. But other than that, I must say - this is one of the better fushi (fake sushi) places I've tried. The prices are incredible, and the portions are ginormous. I feel like a roll here is double the size of other comparable places. There is a lot of rice in the rolls, but it matches the amount of fish inside. They don't skimp on it here. We had the PJ special roll (tuna, salmon, and spicy shrimp), the Tuna Set (tuna roll + 4 pcs of tuna), and the Crunchy Spicy Salmon Combo (1 Crunchy Spicy Salmon roll +3 pcs of salmon). There is a lot going on in the PJ roll but if you're just looking for a bunch of raw fish, then this is the roll. I didn't really taste any spice from the shrimp. The tuna and salmon set were great as well. As I mentioned - huge pieces of fish. Love that. I think PJ Sushi is the best quality/quantity for its price. As if they prices weren't cheap enough, they offer sushi platters for $50 and they even have lunch specials (only until 3 though, so we just missed it). Can't wait to come back! I think I have found my new go-to sushi spot.

I have been a regular for a few years and have even suggested that friends try their value even sending photos of what I have ordered. However, lately, I have detected/felt a distinct difference in their attitude that has made me question if I should ever return which as of now I'm certainly not. They are very minor things such as cleanliness of the table and a minor substitute of an item due to the excess salt I was trying to avoid. I was flatly told that they have no flexibility. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but generally the customer (when respectfully done which I always do) would be accommodated if it is a reasonable and practically no cost to do so. In addition, their wasn't any other customer around when I made these two/2 simple requests. These two/2 separate situations are unfortunate and I will not be returning and I certainly will also tell the few friends about this and let them decide on their own. Their are so many options in this area that I would rather attend a restaurant that creates a better customer relationship. Sorry I need to write this review, but perhaps they will find it helpful in improving their service that especially seems to have declined lately. This wasn't a one time situation, as it occurred over two different situations.

I have been here for many years - mainly for their sushi rolls platter. Their sushi rolls are bigger and really filled with ingredients and just enough perfection of rice! I know that it is weird that one would refer to their sushi rolls as juice but that is just that - the rolls are soooooo decadent and yummy. The tuna are super fresh, their avocado melts in your mouth and the additions such as seaweeds were mixed with some sesame oil that gives that sense of "umami"ness. And their price are so reasonable. The place is mainly a to-go sushi place but there are tables where you can sit in and enjoy your sushi. I would say that the ambiance is super casual, not a place to take your first date to - although if your date is a foodie and don't care much about their simple premises - then your date is in for a treat. The owner - husband and wife are the nicest people ever. They are serious with what they serve and the meticulously prepare the food with much care! I once brought four trays for my partner birthday parties and PJ sushi was so good that my guests wanted to know where I got the sushi. Awesome sushi, awesome price, best balance of quality and cost. Yum!!
