Buffalo61 Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Fort Madison

Awful. Place is going down without this hotel sharing a lot. Like a rundown Buffalo Wild Wings or TGIF. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with the upcharge onion rings. Everything at the table for the group was served but was told "we owe you onion rings". Well, I finished my entree with nothing served. Yet, a couple that ordered after managed to receive onion rings... Mentioned it at the end and received attitude, "Well, do you still want them or do you want me to take them off?!" Fine. Clearly it's a problem so please take them off the bill. Received my bill and received a full charge for my meal even though I also didn't receive the French fries that were supposed to be included had I not tried to upcharge my order with onion rings. Mentioned that as well and was told "You pay $11.99 whether you get the fries or not." I didn't order fries because I tried to add to my order with onion rings. Didn't receive those. Didn't receive the fries that would have otherwise been included in the meal either. Sllllloooooowww to recognize I had an empty drink. Dry grilled chicken. Group had an overcooked tenderloin (don't listen to their claim to fame as best in Iowa because no one else must be serving a tenderloin if that's the case) and the Philly steak looked like they rationed the portion to a prison inmate. Recommend they teach their staff "service" before being part of the food service industry. Joke establishment that won't be long for this world. If you hate your job as a server and have no aim to please or accommodate your poor service, don't be a waitress...Susie (or whatever your name was).

Not as good as the orgional Burlington location:

Went there 4/7/2018 our waitress was Kelsey. Brought my husbands beer forgot my water. Got my water a bit later. No plates or silverware brought with our appetizer. No napkins brought either. I got up and got some from the bar. Burgers/tenderloin brought. Again still no silverware. Asked a different waitress because ours was no where to be seen. Other waitress got us silverware. Had to ask a different waitress to refill my water. Our waitress never did. Our waitress never offered refills or a second beer for husband either. Yet again had to ask ANOTHER different waitress to get us our check.

Food was okay. Service was terrible. Not friendly not attentive AT ALL. I'll forgive a waitress on a busy night for not being super attentive. But even if we weren't offered refills silver ware + napkins are a MUST when you are served food. Checking on us would have been nice. Customers shouldn't have to get napkins themselves, flag other wait staff down to get a knife to spread the container of mayo you were brought for your sandwhich or wait a long time sans drinks to finally get fed up enough to ask someone else for the check.

Probably won't go back to this location, it's a shame because the Burlington location while not as nice interior design wise had better service and our food was served at a hot temperature vs Ft. Madison's room temperature fries and horrible service. I had higher hopes...

Poor customer service and small portions. My experience was not great. Our server did ok for it being the dinner rush, we got our food and were mostly disappointed. My husband ordered a wrap and said it was good, small for the amount they were charging, I got the 12 piece boneless wings and the flavor was fine bit the wings themselves tasted dryand maybe even old. I ordered a side salad, Calling it a salad was a little bit generous. It was lettuce with a quarter of a tomato wedge and a couple 6 croutons on top. All of this would have been fine if my kids mac n cheese didn't taste like it had turned! So here I am telling my kids just eat it because I think they don't like it because it's not craft, finally I tried a bite after we were getting done and it was terrible. My husband thought so too. So we asked for the manager to let her know and when she came over she acted like she didn't believe us, then went to the back and sent the check back with the price reduced to 3 dollars. Ok I get that some was gone. And maybe people try to get out of paying for meals but over half the Mac was left, my kids barely touched the fries because of the Mac I did have them eat all they really ate was an applesauce each. They even had water so not drink to speak of. It was poor taste from the manager to do that, and even poorer to send it back with the server instead of coming back herself to make things right.
