Sweet Dough — Restaurant in Fort Mill

There are a couple of places in Fort Mill to get you sweet fix on, but sometimes you get tired of cupcakes and cakes. You want something different that does great with a good cup of coffee and still rewards your sweet tooth. Not too long ago I heard of the donut shop opening in Ft. Mill and wanted to try it out so I took the family and we ventured to Sweet Dough. It's a small sized bakery with big time customer service and sweet treats.

Obviously one would want to compare these donuts to bigger chain spots, but Sweet Dough has exceeded my expectations and my perception of what donuts are supposed to be. The donuts are always fresh and there are many varieties to choose from but you can get creative and add your own toppings to your donuts. If you're not in the mood for donuts that's fine because Sweet Dough as serves breakfast with a nice selection to choose from.

As always, my biggest issues to focus on are cleanliness, customer service and quality; Sweet Dough doesn't disappoint and their hardwork and dedication prove it. Lastly, their hours are from 6am to 2pm everyday so keep that in mind when visiting. Definitely support this small business, they deserve...

A lovely bakery!

Purchased a dozen, including glazed, lemon, sugar, double chocolate cake, Bavarian cream, strawberry frosted and maple frosted.

I personally ate the glazed, strawberry frosted and Bavarian cream. All of the doughnuts have a noticeably taller appearance in comparison to popular chains like Krispy creme and Dunkin' as well as most grocery stores.

The Bavarian cream has a wonderful, rich, true custard taste. No fake fillers or plain whipped cream here. This is the most prominent part of the flavor. The chocolate top was fully covering the surface.

The glazed was good, much better then other brands. If your unsure if you'd enjoy the others, you can't go wrong here.

Strawberry frosted was a dark horse that just about won the race ( I can't help but pick Bavarian creme everytime) the strawberry flavor is fresh and natural, strongly suggest it if you like strawberry even a little.

All of the doughnuts I tried were soft and airy.

The place was clean, staff was friendly. :)

They offer the standard array of doughnuts flavors with a compliment of other options typically found in doughnut shops.

I hate to be Sweet Dough's lowest review to date, but you have to have doughnuts if you're a doughnut shop. Multiple visits with nothing in the case except maple long john's and apple fritters. Trust me, if we were visiting in the last hour or so, I could understand but 3-4 hours before closing you should have at least 50% of your product. I could also see if this happened once or twice.....but we're on the fourth visit leaving with no dough. I LOVED you guys when you first opened and still love the d'nuts when I can get them. Maybe you forgot about Ft Mill in the expansion, but there's too much competition for me to keep huffing it there. (also, please get the guy behind the counter a Red Bull or some coffee.
