I’ve been visiting this venue for years, and I have to say—under the new ownership, I’ve seen some exciting changes that have really breathed new life into the space. The atmosphere feels refreshed, the staff is welcoming, and the focus on inclusivity and community support is more visible than ever.
The bar staff are friendly and attentive, and I've noticed how much effort is going into curating a variety of entertainment. Sure, things have shifted a bit—but change can be a good thing, especially when it creates space for new voices and fresh talent. I recently attended Latin Night and while it had a slightly different vibe than in the past, it was still high-energy and fun, with a diverse crowd that was clearly having a great time.
As for the performers, I’ve enjoyed seeing both seasoned queens and up-and-coming talent from outside the area—it brings a mix of styles and personalities that keep things interesting. Not every performance will be everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve loved the variety and the chance to see new faces doing what they love.
Every business evolves, and I appreciate that this one is actively trying to grow while continuing to serve the LGBTQ+ community. It still feels like a safe, joyful space to celebrate and connect. I’m excited to see where things go next and will definitely keep coming...
Read moreI’ve been following the updates about the new ownership, and unfortunately, it’s been disappointing to see the decline in management. The changes at the bar are noticeable, and it’s clear that the new owners don’t have the experience or understanding needed to run a successful business—especially one that serves the LGBTQ+ community.
Many of the best staff members have either left or been let go, and talented drag performers have moved on due to poor treatment. The shows have lost their energy and charm, with out-of-town queens who come across as arrogant rather than engaging. On top of that, the lineup has felt repetitive, making each event feel uninspired.
Latin Night, in particular, was a letdown. The last great one was back in January, but the recent event didn’t live up to expectations. The hosts barely spoke Spanish, and the performances lacked the vibrancy and authenticity that made past events so enjoyable.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I truly hope the owner takes a step back and reevaluates how they are running this place. If things don’t change, I worry that this venue won’t last. Ideally, it would end up in the hands of someone who genuinely understands and supports...
Read moreI would visit this bar very regularly as I was new in town and it was close to my house. I was starting to become a regular and I really enjoyed going on the weekend to play bingo. I ended up winning during bingo this September 2018 a trip for 2 to Fort Lauderdale and I was excited as anyone would/should be. I left my contact information and was told that someone/owner would reach out to me to schedule the booking and I never heard anything even after two weeks of winning. I made an attempt to go back to the bar to speak with someone/owner and even left the dates and there was still no reply even after I was told to write down the dates. Fast forward to November 2018 I even reached out at least 3 times via emails to contact the owner and I was told that it would be booked and I have still not heard anything regarding a booking or confirmation. I'm not sure if this is something that just happened to me or if anyone else had problems with claiming their prize but it was pretty disappointing. The only other issue is that it's really smokey inside. I will say that Eric the bartender is the best and Ginger Snaps the bingo host are really friendly and great at...
