I used to be a big fan of 5 Guys, but I havenāt eaten at one in a few years. I was really excited to see that one was opening close to me. Today was the first, and only, visit to the new location. Iām no longer excited about the store. I actually donāt think it will last very long. The burgers that used to be really good now taste like they could have come from Wendyās, and thatās not a compliment. Gross. The fries, their signature item, tasted like they had been cooked in old grease. How can the grease taste old after two days of being open? There were too many people working for anything to be efficient, and it showed in the wait time after the order was placed.
And two burgers, a ālargeā fry, and one drink for over $27.00?!!! You wonāt last for long. Every customer I spoke to today said it will be their only visit because of the prices.
Nasty food and high prices donāt generally mean a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall my recent visit was okay but it was not really great and it was enough to make me rethink going back. Usually I don't mind paying a little bit more for high quality burgers when I have a treat but this time I don't feel the quality was very good. Starting with my fries they were lukewarm when I got them which is definitely not typical. The burger tasted just okay and not as fresh for some reason.
The staff was pretty friendly but also a little bit distracted by whatever conversation they were having before I came in. Overall the restaurant was pretty dingy and dirty for them to be sitting around talking honestly, I think some strong management would be helpful here. I'm not against having a little bit of fun with your co-workers but you can talk and clean obviously. Overall it made me...

I ordered fries and he yelled-and I mean yelled- "Cajun or salty?". It was so loud it was inaudible so I said "what?" and he repeated it again I guess. I answered salty but didn't really want salt. Rang up a little over $21 for a coke, burger and fries. I thought that was high but went ahead to pay. As I was pulling out my card he yelled loudly "HELP! HELP! HELP!" A woman was standing beside him so I just said I think I will find somewhere else to eat. Not going to pay $21 for that. Maybe having bad day or hard of hearing or mad working holiday. I don't know, I just didn't want to do business there. I don't think I...
