I first had their food while hospitalized. I ordered through DoorDash, and very much enjoyed the food. Next time, I ordered ahead to pick up, and they obviously are a āTake out onlyā location. Still the food was very good. Most recently, again we ordered ahead, and my wife really enjoyed it too. And sheās very picky about her Chinese food.
Yesterday, I was craving Chinese, and was in Ft Smith, so, of course I thought of them, first. I called ahead to order and ask for a minor accommodation, which I was willing to pay for it. Iām wheelchair bound, and went to my doctorās appointment, without my chair, as the clinic will send out an orderly, with a chair, upon request. The accommodation I was seeking, was for them to bring food to my truck, due to not having a wheelchair.
The woman who took my $60 order, got angry, and cursed me in (I believe) Cantonese. I speak some Chinese, enough to know that I was being cursed at. I tried to explain that I was only 10ā outside their door, parked right in front of the doors. She got angry and said to call DoorDash. I waved at her, and said, Iām right here, in the red truck. She angrily cursed me some more, and yelled that they donāt have delivery people. After 3 attempts to explain that I was right in front of their doors, and being cursed each time, I told her āThanks anyway, Iām leaving, in Mandarinā. I even threw in some of her unsavory profanities from Cantonese.
They had the unmitigated gall to call me back 10 minutes later, while I was headed home, driving through Spiro, to ask if I was coming in to pay. I told them quite clearly in English and Mandarin, that āYou have lost a customer. I will never return. EVER!ā
If you are seeking dining with courteous, service, go elsewhere. But, if you just want good Chinese food, and donāt care about service, or courtesy, their food is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was so good. We hadn't eaten here before but we will definitely be back. We tried the Pu Pu platter appetizer, the house fried rice and the general tso's chicken. Way too much food but everything was very good. The spring rolls and egg rolls were crispy but not too crispy, not greasy and very flavorful. The sweet and sour chicken had a light crispy batter, the chicken was moist and tender. The crab Rangoon was honestly the best I've ever eaten, the wrapper was light and thin and crispy and the filling OMG. The chicken skewers had a really delicious sauce basted on them and the chicken was moist and really good. The sweet and sour sauce was really good, not too sweet and perfectly sour. The house fried rice would have fed us on its own. It had tons of flavor and plenty of meat. The general tso's chicken had the perfect amout of crispy batter and the sauce was unlike any I've tried before, it was sweet and perfectly spicy. We are looking forward to our next visit to try something else. The portions are quite large so we will be ordering much less food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAsian Bistro is just really great Chinese takeout - bottom line! š Iāve ordered-out from here at least six or seven times since I first discovered it, and someoneās review I once read said it best: āItās got a lot of the same foods youāll find at other Chinese places, but theyāre much tastierā. Thatās the truth! The food is always hot and fresh (and we always order takeout, partially just because the dining area is so small). But the dishes are also each very distinctive and flavorful, and not just generic, tired Chinese takeout. I couldnāt recommend Asian Bistro more highly for our River Valley Area. As far as Iām concerned, itās consistently the best Chinese food around (NOTE: Pictured on this occasion are the General Tsoās Chicken and the Singapore Mei Fun Noodles, with tofu substituted instead of the shrimp it normally...
