El Toro Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Fort Smith

Asked Waiter if they had Birria Tacos. Waiter said no but we can make them. I asked if they came with the birria dipping juice. Said no but we can get it for you. Brought me out street tacos with shredded beef. Not birria tacos. I said that’s not what I was after and the guy who delivered the food let me explain what exactly I wanted. He knew what it was and said they will fix it. My waiter brings back what they took back and sits it in front of me and tells me next time I should order quesa birria and shows me a pic. I googled birria tacos and showed him a pic. If you knew what I wanted why bring me street tacos. The guy had an attitude from the moment we ordered. Even my kids noticed and said something to me about him.

Need a little more professionalism and better explanation of what birria tacos are. Can’t help they call it something different than every other place in town.

I had to get up and leave so I didn’t lose my cool. All the waiter wanted to do was argue about it. Who brings back a plate you just sent back and sits it in front of you like “here you eat this!” I walked out. Family stayed and they still left my “street tacos” I didn’t order on the bill. I told my wife just pay it and walk away.

Use to love going here after church....

Just walk in and wait to be seated, ur menu and wait staff are right there. Drinks ordered, food takes a minute longer to order. The menu is huge. Didn't take the phone in, so no pictures, was with a very good friend. This was her choice of restaurant and she was spot on!! This is a great place to stop and eat lunch if you and the friends are going shopping. The nacho supreme is loaded. It came with beef, chicken, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, onions, sour cream, and guacamole, not to mention they leave the chips on the table you can dig ur way to the bottom. So good But don't get there too early, some plates are an extra buck before lunch. Ofc, they tell you. Just know going in. Look this place is totally worth the stop. I like food that is more seasoned; I'll have to try it again to see if it was just a bad day or if that's how they regularly cook. It might be more to the taste of the type of people living in that area than mine and that's why they season very mildly. It seems like an older community around them, so it might just not be to my tastes. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The drinks are more expensive than you would expect, but the place is pretty and recently remodeled. I'd go again just because they're convenient and mild enough for one of my roommates to enjoy. The tomatillo was very onion heavy, but had a decent kick. The salsa was good and adding the tomatillo helped reduce the onion taste in it while bumping the salsas heat up a notch.
