La Huerta Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Fort Smith

After reading the review below, I find it hilarious that nearly the same thing happened to me tonight!! I ordered a chicken nacho with a side of queso over the phone. The waitress said it would be 20 minutes. Great. I get there right at 20 minutes after placing my order and tell the woman at the counter I have a to go order. She asks me and I repeat my order back.... FIVE TIMES!!! ---- "You had chicken nachos with a side of queso?" "Yes".... "Ok." (Talks to another waitress) "So it was chicken nachos with a side of queso?" "Yes".... "Ok, we have that order under 'Gifford' [which is no where near my name]". (I stand there like "Ok?") The waitress tells me to have a seat while she checks out the people behind me. No big. Checks them out. Calls me back. "So it was chicken nachos with a small side of queso, right?" "Yes". Ok. (Talks to the waitress next to her). "Ok. So we've got a chicken nachos with cheese on the side, right?" "[FOR THE LOVE OF GOD] Yes." "Alright" Rings me up. Gives me my receipt. By this time 30 minutes has passed since I placed my order. I have a seat and wait. Another waitress comes out with my order 10 minutes later (I have now waited a total of 40 minutes for my food after a 20 minute promise) and says "chicken nachos with a side of queso?" "That's me." Hands me my food. At this point I should have double checked that all of my food was in there, but after saying it FIVE TIMES I thought that should be confirmation enough. I drive home. Guess what's not in my bag...... a side of queso!!! I call the restaurant and ask to just be refunded the queso I was charged because I don't want to drive 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back just to get a freaking small queso after already spending 40 minutes on this venture. He tells me he wants to see the food in my bag. I ask him if I can just take a picture and send it to him because I really don't want to have to drive back out, I just wanted to be refunded my money for the product I didn't receive. He absolutely refuses and says he wants to see all of my food before he refunds anything. I tell him I'll just write a review on this experience and he says "Do what you've gotta do, but I'm not refunding anything". He's a tall, heavier set man that LOOKS like he's in charge if you go in. He seems nice. He's NOT! Absolutely terrible experience! If you are looking for a great mexican place to eat GO TO ROLANDO'S!!!! THEY ARE AMAZING!! Always fresh, friendly, and RIDICULOUSLY delicious!! Wish I would have gone there tonight. I will never go back (or order any food for my company) from this establishment!! Hope this was worth the $3 queso, "manager"! You'll learn to treat your customers well...

Took my family to eat here today, Ordered Chili relleno with red sauce. Beans and rice, daughter ordered a Chocolate lava cake with ice cream and whipped cream on top. And we also had cheese dip and guacamole dippers. After a 10 min wait My food came and the Relleno was covered with cheese sauce, told waitress and she took it back , came back about 5 min later with red sauce put on top of the cheese sauce that was already on top of the relleno, by now the guacamole we ordered was turning brown within 10 minutes. Chili relleno was soggy from the cheese sauce and the interior was absent any cheese for the first 6 bites, the beans were actually good but the rice had absolutely no flavor what so ever. 25 minutes into dinner , waitress comes over and says to my daughter she forgot her cake but her boss is making your plate, it's coming right out. We all finish our dinners and at 47 minutes later they bring out my daughters plate after everyone is done eaten and have already gotten togo containers and are ready to leave. And they acted like this was ok. No I'm sorry. Or anything. You made a 9 year old cancer survivor child wait for 1 piece of cake for 47 minutes!! She set there while everyone eat and she had nothing. Way to go LA Huerta! As long as you got paid. .. F ya...

We've, over the last few years, now eaten at all the La Huerta locations. Never had a problem. They were clean and quick to wait on us. Our order always came promptly.

But.... it's been a couple of years since we ate there.

As soon as one of our party saw an employee leave the bathroom without washing their hands we should have got up and left.

First they brought me a plate and substituted mashed potatoes for rice and beans. The enchiladas weren't enchiladas. They were mini burriro's. The tortilla around them was not cooked. (one difference between enchiladas and. burritos) Their next try, after I sent it back, was with old cheese that had sat there long enough to grow a skin over the "enchiladas". I ate it because I was hungry and the other 2 at our table were about to finish. In a out 4 hours I went from doing great to not feeling so well. I got off wasy. It's the 2nd day of diarrhea for my poor wife. It's bad enough she missed work today and will probably end up at the doctor tomorrow if things don't start improving pretty quick. The 3rd member of our party has has some stomach issues but at least isn't running a fever. Feel free to do what you want. We're probably going to a avoid this place for...
