BEST PLACE TO EAT IN FORT STOCKTON
Driving from El Paso to Austin and stopped off here - BOY am I glad I did.
It was the best burger I've had in recent memory. Sienna the server was lovely, told me their burger patties are made from brisket cut.
Usually if the burger is amazing, fries tend to be disappointing- NOPE fresh, crispy and perfectly salted.
Love the quaint little location and got to talk to the man himself - Vincent. He's a classically trained chef from culinary school in SATX, served his country and has a passion for the food he creates.
He generously gave me a slice of blueberry cheesecake to try and my gosh it was next level.
I've had dessert in 3 Michelin star restaurants in NY and LA and this cheesecake held its own - light fluffy cheese topping, FRESH Blueberries (not that slimey canned sugary stuff). 10/10.
I got the hatch Chile burger with cheese... delectable.
Literally can't wait to stop in again and hope he opens locations statewide!
My only hope is that they start closing during a weekday or two and opening on weekends because we often drive through Fort Stockton...
Read morePassing by Fort Stockton and looked at reviews for good burger joints and this was the first one to pop up. Holy heck, so glad I decided to stop in. Very good food!! I got a burger with fries.
Hamburger 9/10 - well toasted bun and a 7oz chuck burger were a perfect combo. Had fresh veggies on the side. The bun was not overwhelming at all. I did add bacon to the burger which was cooked perfectly. The burger setup comes dry, but they have all the condiments you need if you want to add anything.
French Fries 9/10 - hand cut potatoes that were fried and seasoned just right. They were fire actually!! Probably some of the best fries I’ve had in awhile!!
Customer Service 9/10 - walked and greeted with a warm welcome and awesome staff! My server was Arian who was patient to explain everything and was very friendly and attentive. Even the head chef, Vincent came by to chat. A cool place that is very inviting.
Atmosphere 8/10 - simple, but effective.
Overall 9/10 - I am glad I stopped by and will definitely be a regular here when passing by Fort...
Read moreWhat a fun place!!! Since we were on a road trip, I really was tired of fried American food and wanted something more fresh. But I was out voted by family, and we ended up at V's Kitchen based on reading their reviews. There was one gal helping us out inside, and she was so friendly and charming. I wish I knew her name! She answered questions about what to order. The drinks are actual bottles of soda. The salad dressings are brought to you in bottles. The burger buns ate buttery and toasted perfectly. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions are large! I got the special of the day, which was diced breaded chicken over a bowl of white rice with your choice of sauce. I picked the hot honey, and it was SO GOOD. I had enough leftovers to eat this for 2 more meals the next 2 days. The tater tots are on point...crispy and perfectly salted. And the desserts....omg. We got an Oreo cheesecake and a cookies and creme mousse.
Don't miss out. Check this place out if you're driving through. You...
