This is the kind of stop you dream of when travelling. We saw a sign for Indian food on Interstate 10 heading west and decided to check it out. We were greeted by Chef Kinjan with a warm smile and we asked if they might have Chana Masala which is not on the menu. He actually has a selection of vegetarian dishes which his wife prepares while he focuses on everything else. He told us to try the lamb chops which he cooks in his tandoor which we also ordered. First of all the Chana Masala was so flavorful because he toasts and grinds his spices by hand. Delicious complexity and depth, with a pop of heat from the chilis and coolness from the cream he dresses the dish with. The lamb he marinates for 24 hours before putting in the tandoor cooked to order. Just be prepared as this can take some time, but it is so worth the wait. The lamb comes out slightly charred and smelling of spice, corriander and rendered fat. It is mouth wateringly tender with no gaminess or toughness. Just soft succulent meat under that blistered exterior char. I would make a road trip just to eat his food again. Chef Kinjan and his son were so nice to us and ever the hospitable hosts. Thank you for such a memorable meal! You must...
Read moreFood was absolutely amazing! How true Indian food should be, not over spiced or over cooked. The rice was perfect and rather than sticking to everything it broke apart and allowed for a beautiful unison of rice and curry! My no spice was actually no spice, chicken was cooked to perfection 👌 not overcooked no fat or grissl. I had the butter chicken and with subtle hints of cardamom and a beautiful consistency the true flavor allowing the food to speak for itself. Not greasy like some curries are, I was blown away! If you are ever in town you need to try! If your a local you are lucky to have this food blessing your town. Last I had an orange 🍊 Indian snowcone and the salts and spices along with a drizzle of lime absolutely set the flavor of the orange on fire. Hints of cool spice and sweet salt was a great treat to beat the heat. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The owners son brought my 4 year old out a popsicle to enjoy while we waited for our food (which was not long) this made my son's day. Family is very friendly I highly recommend trying if you have not. Thanks again Tandoori Grill for such an overall...
Read moreAbsolutely blown away by this hidden gem of an Indian food truck tucked away just a few minutes off I-10. We stumbled upon it during a road trip, and it ended up being one of the best food stops we’ve ever made. It may be in the middle of nowhere, but the flavor is out of this world.
The butter chicken? Hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and so satisfying. While we waited, the owner came out with a complimentary chicken sample—super tender and bursting with flavor. That small gesture alone said a lot about the pride and heart behind this place.
The owner’s warmth and hospitality turned a simple meal into a memorable experience. The vibe was welcoming and genuine—felt more like being invited into someone’s home than ordering from a truck.
I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. If you’re anywhere near I-10, make the detour. You won’t regret it—I’d come back in...
