Short version; We were forgotten, then ignored.
We loved the one in Milford, so we were happy to find one closer. It looked very nice, cozy & clean. The server was initially very friendly & helpful. We ordered a wine and a bottled beer right away, but seemed to take a while to come to the table, even though we could see them sitting ready on the bar for several minutes. Eventually, the bartender (I think) brought them, but we had to wave him down because he wasn't sure which table they went to. The server came back and we ordered our meals and salads right away. The salads came out in a normal amount of time, and were very good. We ate the salads kinda slow, & after being finished for a while, the server came and took the empty salad plates. Then we waited a while for our 3 entrees. And waited some more. Eventually, we started noticing that tables that sat after us were already being served their food. Like, three of them, including a large party. After helping bring food to the large party, out server stopped by our table and simply said "Your food should be right out". We waited several more minutes and watched servers deliver meals to a couple more tables. Eventually, our food arrived and the only thing our server mentioned was to ask if we needed anything else, to which we said "Well, I don't think so...". We found out that we did need some other things, but the server never stopped by the table again until we were quite obviously done eating. By then, we were quite unhappy & were rather short with her and just asked for some boxes and the check, even though the desserts had looked quite good. That whole time, no one ever apologized for our wait, asked if we needed anything, or asked if everything was okay - which it was not. The spaghetti needed more sauce and my manicotti seemed like the pasta was half uncooked. I'm guessing that someone forgot our order, then decided not to waste anymore time on us because we would obviously be unhappy anyways.
If the staff or management is reading this, that's clearly not the right way to handle that. Mistakes happen, but don't pretend nothing happened & ignore us. If they had said "I'm so sorry, there's been a mistake, is there anything I can get you in the meantime?", and made sure the rest of our dining experience was enjoyable, we wouldn't have been upset and I wouldn't have brought this up in public. We don't want anything free, we just don't want to be...

I will be back BUT without my whole family. This place has more of an atmosphere for apps n cocktails with some friends. I don't feel it to be family friendly.
The small dining area is CRAMMED with tables, they are WAY too close together. Bathrooms were one at a time so there was a constant line the entire time we were there. They have a lot of TV's but not one of them was on a channel for children. Other diner's kids were running all over the place because they had nothing to do or watch....
I recommend either cutting back on the amount of tables in the small dining area, getting an actual paper kids menu or turning a TV to a kids channel so kids have something to do when they...
Read moreI was excited to try the food after seeing so many amazing reviews. Unfortunately it fell pretty short of my expectations. I got the fried zucchini and the vodka tortellini.
I expected the fried zucchini to be similar in size to fried pickles. Instead I got four long strips of it. Like 6 in long and 2 in wide. The size made it hard to hold and hard to eat. The breading on it was way too heavy in my opinion. It was like 90% fried bread with an extremely thin slice of zucchini inside. You can't tasted the zucchini at all. The inside was soggy and just super unappealing looking. The dipping sauce was good.
The vodka tortellini was too spicy for me. I normally can handle some spice but I just like to know up front what I'm getting myself into and be in the mood for it. I've gotten similar pasta dishes at other restaurants and it's never been spicy, nor did the menu indicate the spiciness of the sauce. The tortellini tasted about the same as the frozen tortellini I buy from the grocery store...and I felt they could have added more sausage crumbles as there were very few.
Overall I'm disappointed but I won't count them out completely until I try the pizza. But for pasta, I'll definitely stick to...
