Baba’s Steak and Lemonade — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

TODAY, I am giving a poor review because their customer service was HORRIBLE! I placed an order that specifically asked for a certain side item to replace fries. Didn't really bother to check my order because they place it in a bag. On my drive home, I just happened to lift the lid to nibble on my special side item, only to find fries!!! I had already driven off but not so far that I didn't turn around. When I went inside to ask for a corrected order, I was told they didn't HAVE anymore of my side item.

Me: but I didn't ORDER fries Them: I didn't charge you for the side item Me: that's not the point I didn't order fries. You didn't tell me you were out of the side item. Them: and I didn't charge you extra for it. Me: blank stare...turns and walks out

WHY didn't you give me an option for something else?!?! If I WANTED FRIES, I WOULD HAVE ORDERED FRIES!!!!

MY MONEY. MY DECISION. NOT YOURS.

Showed them my online order that I placed for their restaurant and the receipt, they said they don’t do online orders. But the manager confirmed it is their website and that it’s a receipt from their company, but I can’t have my money back because they don’t actually do online orders despite acknowledging their website let me place an online order for their store and that if I wanted my food I’d have to pay again and call the number on the receipt. So I paid again because I thought maybe it was a simple mistake. I called to get my refund and they said they can’t give me my money back either. They asked for the guys name at the counter and he wouldn’t tell me his name and walked away. So basically order through DoorDash, Grubhub, etc because their actual website is a scam to steal your money. Better yet, eat somewhere else that isn’t openly running a website intended to outright...

Well I understand that when I arrived to the restaurant it was kind of late. It was 10:25pm, and you guys close at 11pm. That's why I didn't say anything when I seen you guys take 6 pieces of chicken that must had been fried prior, (they were just sitting in a basket) and redropped them in the grease. It was okay, close to quitting time so I understood I guess. But when I arrived home, wait first I thought the wings smelled a little burnt when I received my order but I overlooked it. But to get home and take a bite of a wing and it tasted so scorched!! Burnt, and then the wing wasn't even done! Chicken still wet and juicy. Pink spots 🤮 Then the fries were about as dark as me and soggy.. Now how does that work? Burnt the fries but they sat there long enough to get soggy 🤦‍♀️ I'm baffled!! If I could give you guys 0 stars I would! Do better!! I should...
