Went there today for lunch with my husband and two kiddos (4 and 1). The first thing I noticed upon walking into the restaurant was an awful smell. Made me almost gag. Then we noticed the signage about the "customer service charge" if you use a credit card when checking out. The sign said that all the menu prices were the "cash" price and the cost will be more if a card was used. I asked about the charge and they said it is 4% to cover the processing fees they have to pay. Although this isnt illegal since the 2017 Supreme Court ruling, it still isn't something companies should do. They shouldn't make their customers cover their fees.
Now on the food. I ordered a waffle combo that had 2 scrambled eggs, 3 slices of bacon and a slice of watermelon. I also ordered a side biscuit and a fruit bowl as I split the food with my kiddos who eat like birds. The biscuit was fried, but tasted like it was fired in a pan that gets daily use, but never gets cleaned. I swear that biscuit tasted like everything in the kitchen. It was hard to eat. The scrambled eggs were way overcooked. Scrambled eggs should never be brown all over. The waffle had such a weird sponge like texture on the inside. It tasted nothing like a waffle. The thing that offended me the most was the bacon. The bacon just plain didn't taste right. Like it was either spoiled before they made it or wasn't actually pork. I don't know, but it wasn't bacon. I couldn't eat it. I left all three slices on the plate with a bite taken out of one slice. I didn't let my kiddos touch the bacon. So happy I ordered the fruit bowl. That was the saving grace of our meal. The fruit bowl was just watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe. The fruit was fresh and cut into pieces. My kiddos and I ate all the fruit and the kiddos ate the weird spongy texture waffle. My husband order biscuits and gravys with hash brown and he had the same issue with the biscuits. Said they tasted like they were fried in a dirty pan. He said the hashbrown were overcooked on the outside, yet somehow undercooked on the inside. Like they cooked them on too high a heat. He said the country gravy was good.
The service was extremely slow. It took about 15 minutes for us to get acknowledged at the door, maybe 10 minutes to get seated and then about 30 minutes for our food to arrive once we ordered. My husband ordered a soda and never got a refill. We also never saw our waitress to ask for a refill. We ended up spending $49 for the entire order and all I can think about is we should have just went to the taco bell across the...

This place has consistently offered great food, friendly staff, and considerably great service with running such a small crew.
It's cozy and well loved. There's going to be some issues here and there as 2 people csn only do so much as the same time, and they focus on providing quality service to customers.
Food was really good, but the waiter and the cook were the only ones running the place and it was decently busy. The waiter provided great customer service considering his situation.
Went to the bathroom and there was some liquid all over the floor and no soap in the dispenser or hand sanitizer so...
Read moreThis used to be a great diner, but now it’s trashy. Lunch rush with only like 3 other tables and sat for 10 minutes without being checked on after I needed “just a minute” to look at the menu. Meanwhile I get treated to a trashy truck-buying drama going on at another table while I wait and wait and wait. Never coming here again since it’s apparently not staffed. The menu is also lacking all the signature Mediterranean dishes that made this place special, unless you count the gyros wrap. Didn’t stay to find out if what’s left of the menu is...
