I've eaten BBQ all around the State of Texas. The Texas Panhandle, North Texas, East Texas, Southeast Texas, West Texas, South Texas, Southwest Texas, and the Texas Hill Country. From big cities to small towns and little bitty towns that may have a post office the size of my pickup truck. Several places outside of Texas, popular places, and unpopular places. If you made it through that paragraph. Don't stop now. The food at Brown's Backyard BBQ reminded me of my favorite BBQ in Texas, out in Valero, Texas (Big O's Restaurant moved to Coleman, Tx, and now I gotta go there to compare). So, now, I can say Brown's Backyard BBQ is tied as my favorite in Texas. They were very friendly and welcoming. I almost tasted everything there, except the peach cobbler. I had to do banana pudding first, but it's on my to-do list next time I'm in Fort Worth ('cause they make it there). The BBQ sauce is also good. It tastes like it has a slight out of state influence, but it's still some good stuff. The only thing I almost frowned about was that they had only sweet tea. Believe it or not, unsweet tea is a Texas thing. I went with a small tea. The food definitely made up for it. Really good potato salad and mac & cheese, too. I had to check out the reason why there were some lower ranked reviews. Very few of 'em. I think I saw something about the ribs in one of 'em. I tried one of those, too. The meat fell off the bone, just as it should. It's really good, too. What's that? Yes, I'll be tell'n folks about this place when I'm asked about BBQ. Oh, and the cake... you need to try it. Thank y'all for the good food.

Look-a-here! Come a little closer, not too close, COVID is on the rise, but anywho. I have been searching almost 2yrs trying to find smoked BBQ. Well, I FOUND IT!!!!!! I can finally say I purchased lunch today. It was worth every dime I spent. This was not a donation to a terrible bbq joint. As you can see, I purchased the rib plate with 2 sides ($15). Let's start with the meat. I was a first time customer and sampled the brisket options. All were tender and delicious. It left me rethinking what I wanted to purchase. I stuck to my routine and chose the ribs. The ribs were smoked to m*&%@$f*@#ing PERFECTION!! Everytime I took a bite and looked at the bone, I screamed, "YASSER!!!!" they smoked that. I am not a fan of potatoes with my green beans, but when the lid was lifted to heaven, I said, "gone give me those green beans". The green beans are a meal by themselves. The bacon sets it off. Guess who'll be purchasing green beans on every stop? ME!! The macaroni & cheese is very creamy and good. Did I mention the baked potato I didn't purchase? I thoroughly enjoyed watching them make all 5 baked potatoes that were purchased during my visit. That fully loaded baked potato was calling my name like an ex that wanted me back. But, I yielded not to tempation. Do know if I am EVER in need of fully loaded baked potato, it will be purchased here. Thank you Brown's Backyard BBQ for restoring my faith in BBQ in Fort Worth. See you soon!

I went Aug 3, Saturday. I gotz to say. I am a big back! When I came here I immediately got asked if we were new there. I said yes and then they brought out some samples and said what they was. I ain't even gonna lie. THEM SAMPLES WERE GOOOOD. I got the chicken, greens, and Mac n cheese. That mac n cheese was really good, as well as them green and don't even get me started on the chicken. THE CORNBREAD IS AMAZING. personally I do like me some cornbread. Also I forgot who he was but he got my mom and nanny thinking he be hot(It was that one young man and i think he had braces and tattoos from what i remember). 🤣. They let us try some cake samples. My mom said we could only have 1 sample to try bc like she brought 8 kids w her and she was finna let us try them all. If she did, them samples would have been gone. Antyways, I tried the white red velvet one, some call it the White Angel....THAT WAS BUSSIN. Great customer service. Seriously. I loved this place and I'm gonna ask my Mom if she can take me again for dinner. Thank you so much. That food was good. Thank you so much. I plan on coming back. God bless you guys and your food. ❤️

I went to Brown's for 3 plates at 1pm. They were already out of ribs. I ordered 2 2 meat plates, beef links & leg quarter, sliced brisket & leg quarter, and one meat plate w/leg quarter. I was told 10 minutes on the links. Fine I will wait. By 2pm still no beef links and out of chicken. So, I left because basically out of everything I wanted or still not ready. I didn't realize it takes beef links over an hour to cook on a barbecue pit. Which, it doesn't! My parents were barbecue caters in West Texas in the 70s & 80s. I know barbecue, exceptionally great barbecue! I can't give Brown's a good rating today since I did not taste the food. I observed very unorganized with pre-orders and filling take out orders. The young gentleman cutting the meats was really preoccupied with an apparently pretty female that ordered several lbs of brisket standing in line after me. I had already been there 45 minutes. Allowing her to sample the brisket. The owner is telling his workers to lock the door because they are out of food. If, I decide to visit again, it will probably be 6 months or longer. The workers were pleasant, just better organization is needed in a timely manner. Exceptional customer...
