We went for a quick late dinner this evening, later than intended. Still we were greated at the entrance by two young women with big warm welcoming smiles and seated immediately at the table of our choice. Once seated we were quickly visited table side with menus, utensils and were asked if we were ready to order drinks. Tonight they were offering traditional Lime Margaritas as well as Mango & Strawberry. My friend chose a beer & I Sweetened Tea. No alcohol tonight, although quite tempting. Very soon after we were greeted by Alfredo who would be our server for the evening. He was warm, friendly and very happy to welcome new customers and to tell us about the menu, daily house specials, & about their happy hour, as well as answer our questions. Since we had been so delayed and it was nearing closing time we chose to give the House Special a try. Wednesday nights special is their Beef Enchilada plate (2 beef enchiladas & chili with sides of rice & beans). We were brought chips & salsa before Alfredo finished taking our orders. The salsa was really good, red, not too thick or pasty, and still had some body to it, unlike a lot of places where the salsa is far too liquid, or watered down. It had a slight bit of heat to it, but it would be a real stretch to call it hot. I would say that it's quite likely that Most people could eat it and enjoy its fresh clean flavors. With the salsa we were served equally tasty warm chips, that were nice & thin, extremely light & crispy, but not greasy. In no time at all, Alfredo was at out table with our two hot plates just as we had ordered them. Mine with whole beans with some added jalapeño peppers & a bit if sour cream. My friend ordered the refried beans, both quite good. We both enjoyed all we were served. It was also very nice that they didn't rush us out, rather they allowed us to enjoy our food at a reasonable pace as they began preparing the restaurant for the next business day. Alfredo came to check on us a couple of times but didn't hover over us. When we signaled we were ready to leave he was there to ask if we needed anything else at all but still prepared to present us with our bill. Although we had arrived late we received great service, good food, ample portions all at a very reasonable price. We wanted to try more items but our orders were enough. We left adequately filled & not overstuffed. We had the opportunity to enjoy chatting with Alfredo as well. He couldn't have been more welcoming and professional. We will be returning to Mexico Real again and soon. It's also an especially good time of the year for good Mexican food. I hope you give them a try. We found it to be well worth our money and a nice experience. FYI...The place appeared clean, saw no bugs, parking wasn't difficult when we were there, the food was quite good, tasted fresh and wasn't Overpowered with way toooo much Cumin. It was a very pleasant experience and was a good value. Thanks again, Alfredo, we enjoyed your gracious service. The also offer delivery...
Read moreFood is good for what it is, but they need workers that actually give a s*. I have been here quite a few times because the food is good and usually the service is decent. This last time going with my hubby and our 6 month old twins, we will not be returning any time soon! The food was good but the service was AWFUL. First we received a side of rice when a side of bean was ordered for our twins which had to be corrected but we were left with the rice we didn't order and still had to pay for it. I waited forever for someone to come so I could place an extra order and ask for more napkins as we were only given the napkin that wraps the utensils. We were there for at least 20 minutes after our food arrived without anyone asking us how the food was or if we needed anything. I even got up to find someone and the man who took our orders was MIA and all of the waitresses were huddled in the back at a table just talking. There were 2 other couples there that received attention. As we were left ignored. Eventually we finally got help as the man was so rude to cut off my hubby as he was asking for a to go box and the check, he literally just walked off while he was mid sentence. Toward the end we also realized the man who took our orders, handed us the wrong drinks. If we could have just walked off without paying because of such horrible service. We would have. But instead, I'll just make sure none of my family or friends eat there again. This was shameful!! Also, their menus are printed wrong, I was very confused about the chalupa salad I ordered that was properly printed...
Read moreMy wife and I ate at this place on November 16, 2024 about 5pm...the waitress arrived at our table and took our order for drinks (didn't say 'HELLO' or anything).
When it was time to order our meals I decided I wanted an ADDITIONAL dish (chicken strip dinner off the child's menu), this would have made three plates for just my wife and I. The waitress explained that the child's meal is three dollars more since I am an adult ($9.95 instead of $6.95). I asked if the adult pricing comes with more food and was told it did not so I told her to forget it (was not disrespectful, either). Now...all I wanted was something to snack on and not a full blown meal, which is why I chose a child's plate IN ADDITION to our 2 adult plates.
Whenever the waitress brought our food she asked if we needed anything additional and we told her more chips and sauce. We sat and ate our food and the waitress never returned...not even to fill our tea glasses. Upon finishing our meal...we went to the register, some man asked for our ticket and I told him our waitress never came back to see us. She finally came out, wrote our ticket and left.....never apologizing for anything.
Food was great but this time the service was very poor.....we have eaten here many times in the past!
I believe there is one reason why people do not want to visit places any more....the reason is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Not sure if I will return but that depends...
