If I could rate this Dunkin location a negative star value it would have been a minus 5. For this being a new store, it was filthy and very unorganized. Myself and the customers in front of me stood at the counter waiting to place our orders for nearly 10-15 minutes respectively. There was one employee (“Shift manager” Stephen), working the drive-thru and the inside counter alone. While another female employee who was in back appeared to be cooking and assisting with the drive-thru orders.
My wife, myself, and the customers in front of us patiently watched as Stephen (“The Shift Manager”) who was obviously over tasked, serve 3 different vehicles at the drive-thru window. Never really acknowledging us inside the store at the counter. Now mind you, none of the 3 cars were even in the drive-thru line prior to all of us arriving at the inside counter.
All while another female, who I assume to either be the store manager or possibly the store owner (female Asian), was sitting at a table across from the cash register behind a laptop, and was having a work discussion with male employee. After about 10 minutes, the male employee went in back and returned out front and finally served the customers in front of my wife and I. At the same time, the female who was working in the back emerged with her personal belongings appearing to have been finished with her shift. She stopped and spoke with the manager/owner lady in the lobby. There conversation appeared to have some tension regarding a recent phone call between them or something. Nonetheless, I was finally going to get served at the counter, as the customers in front of us were paying for their transaction. As the male employee asked what we would like and as I was telling him which 2 donuts I wanted to order, the owner/manager lady spoke loudly over me to the male employee that she needed to speak with him. He replied “ok one second”, as he retrieved a bag for my donuts. The owner/manager lady spoke loudly again stating “NO, I need to speak with you RIGHT NOW”. The employee seemed as surprised as I was at her rudeness, but he dropped the bag and walked around the counter. As I turned around to see what the urgency was, it appeared she just wanted clarification of something that she and the female employee were discussing. The customers ahead of us who were waiting on their breakfast sandwich and I just stared in disbelief. We all said “wow”!?! I said “Really?” to the owner/manager. My patience was now gone. I repeated myself “Really!?!” staring at her in disbelief. She responded with an “Oh, I’m sorry” and then proceeded to engage with the two employees. I responded with “Don’t worry, we’re good!” As myself and the customers in front of of me (who had paid for but not yet received all of their order), just turned and walked out. Horrible customer service!!! To just sit there and watch, and realize how poorly the location is being run is pathetic. Not having enough staff working the shift to handle the store cleanliness and appearance, or provide reasonable customer service to customers who are in the store. As well as being able to handle those in the drive-thru at the same time is bad enough! But then the rudeness to talk over your customers and then take away the one employee who did identify that a 10-15 wait was unacceptable is ridiculous. Thanks for wasting that 15 minutes of my life and the other 15 it took me to research your store and write...
Read moreThis location has got to be staffed with the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. Last five times I’ve gone they all had an attitude, one guy rolled his eyes and audibly sighed, girls at the drive thru nearly chucked the bag at me, and I didn’t even speak more than my order or name and thank you. When my husband ordered at the speaker the guy talked back in a tone as if he was an inconvenience. I mostly order online and pick-up. But the last few times they haven’t had the donuts I ordered. Donuts listed on the app as unavailable ARE and the ones that are supposed to be available AREN’T. The chocolate filled have been unavailable on the app for well over a month but when I walked in I saw the tray was completely full of them. It’s better to go inside at this location to actually see, but then you’re met with an extremely rude staff. My daughter wanted to order her own donut holes in person and we were the only ones in the store. The girl started talking over my daughter and laughing to whoever was talking on the headset. My daughter asked for only plain glazed only but she was too busy talking with her buddies and wasn’t listening to her and gave her a mix. I tried to correct her but she ignored me and my daughter quietly said it was okay and she wanted the mix. She was so sad and only ate the two plain glaze she actually wanted. It was her birthday treat so I drove all the way to the other Dunkin on Beach to get her the donut holes. Incredibly sweet lady working there who listened intently to my daughter who originally didn’t want to order again because she was talked over by the other girl. She left this time happy and full of pride. I fed up with giving them more chances and will drive an extra 8-10 minutes to avoid the Dunkin on Golden Triangle. Beach, Watauga and Southlake have a nice staff, are readily stocked, they frost the donuts perfectly and over flow the filled donuts, unlike the sad stripe of chocolate on top and pathetic filling at Golden Triangle. I can see by the other reviews that this wasn’t just a fluke. They need an...
Read moreMy recent attempt to create a memorable birthday treat for my kid at school turned into a disappointing experience due to a lack of attention to detail and an uncooperative encounter with the manager. I ordered three dozens of Frosted Vanilla with Sprinkles Donuts to spread some joy on my special day, but unfortunately, the occasion was marred by several setbacks.
Firstly, the donuts, which were supposed to be adorned with colorful sprinkles, arrived disappointingly plain without a single sprinkle in sight. The absence of this promised element left the donuts looking dull and less appealing, failing to convey the celebratory mood I had envisioned.
To add to the disappointment, when I requested six bags for easy distribution of the treats, I encountered an unanticipated resistance from the manager on duty. Rather than accommodating this simple request, the manager questioned the necessity for the additional bags, displaying reluctance and a lack of understanding for the importance of a smoothly organized event, especially on a birthday.
A birthday treat should be a delightful and stress-free experience, but this ordeal left me frustrated and dissatisfied. The lack of attention to detail in fulfilling the order and the manager's uncooperative attitude impacted the overall impression of the celebration. As a customer, I expected better communication and a more accommodating approach to enhance the experience, especially during a special occasion.
In conclusion, the combination of unadorned donuts and an unhelpful encounter with the manager dampened what should have been a joyous birthday treat. Attention to detail, customer-centric service, and a more understanding attitude could have made a significant difference in transforming this event into a happy memory for all involved.
I guess I will NOT order Donuts from this place for Birthday Treats or any...
