Tamara Japanese Ramen spot nestled in Golden Triangle, my anticipation was met with a profound sense of disillusionment. Regrettably, the gastronomic journey proved to be underwhelming, with dishes exhibiting a lamentable resemblance to hastily reheated microwave fare. I cannot, in good conscience, advocate for patronage of this establishment, unless one relishes squandering hard-earned currency in exchange for a disheartening culinary encounter.
The expenditure, amounting to nearly $40 for a solitary diner, felt disproportionate to the lackluster offerings. Compounding matters, the malfunctioning iPad payment system added a layer of inconvenience, amplifying the already palpable disappointment. A dish of orange chicken, served at a temperature indicative of negligence, necessitated its return, further dampening the dining experience.
The sushi platter, touted as a highlight, mirrored the pedestrian quality found in mass-produced variants obtainable at retail giants such as Walmart or Kroger, falling egregiously short of any discerning palate's expectations.
In fairness, commendation must be extended to the attentive service staff, who navigated the culinary debacle with professionalism and grace. However, this solitary redeeming aspect fails to salvage Tamara Japanese Ramen's reputation, which is tarnished by exorbitant pricing practices and subpar fare masquerading as authentic cuisine.
In summation, prospective diners are advised to exercise caution and prudence, lest they fall victim to this culinary charade masquerading as an establishment. Tamara Japanese Ramen, with its inflated prices and pedestrian offerings, is unequivocally best avoided, lest one become ensnared in its web of deceit and...
Read moreI enjoyed it thoroughly. The decorations made the building well lit. I found that there were so many things to try I could choose. If you choose to sit in the booth, you order on an iPad, and once you click the cart, you can send the order to the kitchen. They had Asian sodas. One was Lychee, and the other was strawberry. You had to unwrap and then use a plastic spherical cup to push down a marble that was blocking the soda from spilling. We had 2 appetizers. One was the fried calamari and chicken egg rolls. The sauces for the calamari were fantastic. I had the Ramen, the miso soup looked good, and a Tarakayi chicken bento box. The salad dressing was a homemade one. They had a stool where they put the drinks on, and the robot moved the drinks to the table. Super dope. The overall food was lite and did not feel as bloated as I usually do when I order Ramen.
Things to think about: They did have Japanese fries on the appetizers, which I wanted to try. They did have soda and iced tea if you are not as adventurous with trying different soda or beverages. Also, the portions are plenty so you get a good amount of food for the price of it. Next time, I will add a video of it. Tonight is their grand Opening Keller show out and come hang out. Great place
The rating for service was three stars just because on the menu on the iPad, they did not have pictures for all the items. Also, not every item had an option to look at the ingredients of all of the menu items. The waiter was enthusiastic and attentive to us, asking us how the food was and explaining some of...
Read moreStopped in on 4/27 for dinner - it was a quick decision since we were on a tight schedule and never looked at the reviews, simply in the mood for sushi and it was close to us.
Upon arrival, seemed like a normal restaurant in a shopping center but as soon as we walked in, we were transported to another place. It was beautiful decorated and the creative lighting set the perfect ambiance.
We were quickly seated and our drink order taken. She returned with the drinks and an iPad and we were to order from there. I will say, it felt a little disconnected service wise since everything was done from the iPad but it wasn’t a deal breaker.
I had a seaweed salad, along with a Hairmex roll rainbow roll, and my husband had a fried California roll and the Golden Triangle roll.
Wow! The Hairmex was our favorite! Probably one of the best tempura rolls I’ve ever had! Delicious, fresh, and so flavorful. The most disappointing was the rainbow roll but it wasn’t bad, just felt it was lacking a bit.
We were a little thrown off we had to ask for ginger and wasabi, I thought that was a no brainer, however, our plates didn’t include them.
Overall, delicious sushi in a beautiful setting! We will most...
