I want so badly to give this place a higher rating. We heard good things originally about this place. I’ll start off by saying this place needs to revisit their service. I know the food industry has been hit hard and has been struggling to have enough employees. So I get it. HOWEVER, it does. It excuse rudeness and also expecting one waiter to attend to 10 tables. The other 2 waitress were helping hand out food and bread and handing out menus. We came in and they said the wait would be 30 mins. The place was far from packed. They said they couldn’t put tables together which is fine but there was another family of 5 at a 4 top. They sat us when another couple came in. We waited at our table for our drink order to be take for like 20 mins. We asked for bread 3 times while they brought out fresh bread for everyone else and even bread and drink for people seated after us. The waiter gave us snide remarks when ordering. Mind you we had two Little’s and I asked for marinara and noodles only and he made a snide comment about it. They never refilled our drinks. It took 30 mins after we finished to get to go boxes and then even longer for for the check. My husband had to take the kids to the car because they are 3&6 and were DONE. Sad part is this was my Dads birthday dinner.
Now the food… was actually REALLY GOOD! Fresh and the sauce was so good! Their bread was fresh and fluffy. My kids loved the spaghetti. The chicken strips was a little iffy for picky eater but it’s hard for him to find anything he likes. I recommend everything we got to eat.
I just hope maybe they can hire some more people and rethink their customer service. Maybe one day we will be back and I can update but as for now… I leave...
Read moreWhat a strange experience from beginning to end. My friends Husband called in advance to make reservations for a group of 11 to 12 people. He wanted to surprise his wife for her 30th birthday with a nice dinner and friends. Everyone arrived early and was getting drinks from the bar as we waited to be seated. We weren't seated until after the birthday girl arrived...so surprise kinda ruined. Once we were seated, the bartender came to our table asking who had paid for drinks and who hadn't..then MADE SURE to let us know, whoever pays at the end, whatever is left they owe. Like, okay..we get it..pay for what you eat or drink. We aren't trying to hop the bill.
Then our waitress comes out, seemingly exasperated by her day. I get it. Food service is rough/sucks. She starts a dialog with the table. Bantering back and forth, some might even consider her style a bit rude. At some point during dinner, one of the guest at our table took it to far? Because the waitress just sort of snapped. She didn't check on us the rest of the time we were there. We had one more person show up late, she never came out to ask if he wanted a class of water. All I can say is don't dish it if you cant take it.
It sucks that the food was FABULOUS because I will NEVER come back due to the front of the...
Read moreFood: I got the eggplant parm. It was the best eggplant parm I have ever had. I think the whole thing is usually covered in marinara but I got my pasta with Alfredo instead (still marinara on the eggplant). The Alfredo sauce was the best I’ve ever tasted it was so creamy, silky, pasta cooked perfectly, perfectly salted for me (which varies from person to person). Then I saw the eggplant it was covered in marinara. I worry about that when I order, it usually gets soggy but I try not to modify too much out of respect. It was somehow still breaded nicely underneath. Even when I reheated it the next day. The sauce didn’t not break in the oven when I reheated slow and low. My only complaint was the bread was a little crunchy for me but could tell it was still freshly baked. I think I just prefer a softer bread, my friend ate her whole serving. Service: they were awesome, respectful of our time but not invasive. It was calm and delightful and our server reflected that. I think they said it was the father that owned the place, family run is awesome. Atmosphere: it was quiet and not crowded when we went. It was hidden away in a shopping center we almost didn’t find it but glad we did. It was dark but nice in the evening and to pair with the elegant...
