Maxine's Cocktails — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Very obvious they have regulars that keep the place in business, terrible first impressions all around. Literally every eye felt on us when we walked in, and not in the "welcome" way, more the "are you lost" kind of way. Draft beer has been discontinued we were told, which is kind of a staple in Fort Worth. Then the bartender crinkled their nose when we ordered something else, as if a Long Island was a foreign drink to order. A/C was out, which you kind of need in the summertime. Then just as we sat down, one of the few (functioning) TV's got changed from little league world series to an MLB game that wasn't even the Rangers. From what I could tell, no one but us was watching it, yet it got arbitrarily changed. I don't believe people were going out of their way to drive us off, but I don't believe this is the place to casually drop in on either. Way too many other spots in Fort Worth for someone to spontaneously come here. If you're a regular, you're there through all of it no matter what. Cool. First time at this bar ever and I had such a great experience! The bartender was a super star! I can’t remember his name but his bar shirt said “mc cool”. He was touching every guest in the building and had such great energy. Music was also amazing! No matter what genre it was playing, all the songs were great.
