Heard a lot of positive things about this place by word of mouth so last week i decided to check it out.. Went in to place a to go order at about 7:30 pm. The lady at the front was very nice and professional. The place was clean, not very busy and, Had about 10 people sitting down to eat. I placed a order for a large pizza. The lady told me it would be about 10 or 15 minuets. I went outside and came back about 12 minuets later and the pizza was ready. I took it home, about a 10 min. Drive. Opened the box and it was still hot and exactly what i ordered. Half. Italian and half ham and pineapple.picked up the first slice and it just flopped down, which i expected because of the toppings and the super thin crust.lol. The bottom of the crust was burnt black in spots and had an excess of fine crumbs all over the bottom. These 2 things happen in a brick oven when the oven is not cleaned out often enough during the day from sliding pizzas in and out, & ingrediants spilling onto the oven from the pizzas. Several black burnt spots fell off because they were ingredients that fell off other pizzas or food dishes. When holding the pizza all of theses excess fine crumbs were all over my hands and had to keep setting the slice down to whipe them off. When i took a peice of the italian i noticed how excessively dry the sauage and pork shoulder were. It appeared like they had been precooked before putting it on the pizza and putting it in the oven then cooking it more. Giving the benifit of the doubt i bit into it. Needless to say i was highly disappointed with the whole pizza. The pork and sauage were very dry. and the pizza crust was not any better. With the burnt black peices and edges, and the major overload of crumbs on the bottom of the crust were just to much.It didnot taste good at all. I am a long haul truck driver and have eaten pizza all over the lower 48. And do not recall ever having pizza that was quite this bad. In 1982-83 i was a assitant manager at a huge sit down Sabarros italian resturant in Clearwater Fl. Which had a brick oven for their pizza and other italian food dishes. Serverd beer and wine also. Had to clean the oven out every half hour to make sure other food did not get on the bottom of pizza crust or the other food such as calzones and stromboli.Saying i am dissapointed is being nice.Especially sense after eating 2 slices i was hitting the bathroom quite a bit that night and part of the next day.I just could not believe all of the grate things i heard about this place and its pizza, then i get a pizza like what i got. Giving the benifit of the doubt again ,after what i had been told about this place and its food ,i am pretty sure this dose not happen on a regular bases. i would never tell some one to not go just because of my experience but encourage them to try it for themselves because they will probably have a better experience. I will say that my pizza was possibly the worst $ 21.00 pizza i ever had.Sorry guys but that was...

So yep we get to here from vermont by way of Mountain View, to see nature and run race, and we’re all out of nature. Just bussin no cap this nature goes on forever we saw the red wood and it went up up up up to the heavens past the clouds into the great wide open and I’m just knee high to a grasshopper etc etc but we are really here to also run a race that’s no joke. We three banditos bake cookie, did NOT throw llama dice, drove here, watched rain fall, drank my first Yerba mate, etc etc, and friends when i tell you it feels small looking up at the big mammajamma trees I understand how that Frenchman got lost out here bomp bomp bomp. So then we got to the restaurant and immediately I used the facility (just for number one!) and after finishing my business I reuned with my crew at our table. The waitstaff was a nice balance of humble, and educated on the frenchmans wares, and down to earth. and we got pazzo maybe too much but we were hungry so even before we saw a nickel of that pizza we got a bucket of salad to split - it’s good to be finding yourself eating a vegetable, at times. I tried to shake the Frenchman’s hand for putting the dip in the shippity dip de dip but he is lost as above. Consider me a Francophile! (Not in the Spanish sense, Viva La Quinta brigdada etc etc✊) anyone else go to intergalactic trash they in their YouTube if...

So my experience is only based on my visit here as I was not served any food as I decided to leave after incredibly poor service.

Walking in the staff was unsure of a wait as I wanted to sit down for dinner for a table of 4. 10 minutes later we were seated which was great and the bus boy brought us over our waters within 5 minutes. Sadly our table was still wet which was okay.

The most bothering issue was that the waitress who is working 6 tables, 4 of which were in the process of eating their food took 15 minutes before coming over to start our order.

She literally refilled someone’s wine, took the order of another table that was seated AFTER us and decided that she would attempt to fix a guests table that was lopsided before even addressing us.

I’m sure with all the reviews the food is fine but having someone struggle waiting on 6 tables while there are just as many if not more staff on site is not acceptable. The hostess at the very least should be attempting to greet and take orders.

We made sure and left the busboy a tip for serving us water and appreciate the hard work for those who work their but customer service is important and balancing/managing tables should...

After spending some time with a friend in shelter cove, we began to make our way back to Sacramento from the iconic redwoods. My travel companion is a staunch organic foodie, and has high expectations of what is worthy of consumption. I bounce back and forth between California and Italy, and I have high expectations of my wine and my pizza. Both of us were incredibly stoked on what this place offers. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted with the aromas of their wood fired pizza oven, and were pleasantly surprised at the comprehensive list of beverages available, including some local natural wines. The staff were super friendly and were happy to accommodate my ridiculous requests, we ended up splitting a carciofi burrata pizza with salsiccia and salsa bianco, definitely not a standard menu option. It was the firest pizza I’ve had outside of Italy. Jordan our server made the entire experience so pleasant and relaxing that we will never hesitate to repeat our visit anytime we pass through this sacred section of the California coast. Top Notch, a perfect representation of the mellow bounty to be found in what once was the hustle and bustle of old Humboldt farm culture.

Came in and ordered a Margarita pizza to go. It is as over priced and over cooked. Not enough sauce and slim toppings especially for a vegetarian style pizza. The wait staff was curt and arrogant she didn't take the time to explain the menu and rolled her eyes when I asked about the wind list. I was made to feel like I was inturpting her day time social hour with one of the male employees from the kitchen side and a female friend who didn't even work there. In conclusion the food was not worth the price nor was the weight staff anything other than rude and unwelcoming. The price could very well be justified if the pizza cooks paid better attention to their ovens and weight staff made sure the food was picked up and boxed within the small window every server is trained about concerning particular foods for carry out.

We had the Tara, prosciutto, and Italian pizzas. All very good. I liked the Tara because of the honey which had just the right amount of sweetness. The Italian had more mushroom on it then sausage, but it was really good and flavorful. There is a full menu listed including paninis and salads, but this is only for lunch. The dinner menu is strictly pizza. It's good and I would recommend eating there, just something to be aware of for visitors to the area. There isn't a kids menu, but our toddler had the appetizer cheese bread and he enjoyed it. There are also other kid friendly pizzas. It was a relaxed environment so it was a great place to go after driving and hiking for the day.
