This is the cutest place outside of the "Happiest Place on Earth". The converted gas station looks like something out of Cars land with fun family games and a colorful outdoor patio perfect for enjoying the Southern Colorado weather. The attention to detail is what makes this place so special, the details in the decore right down to the piston toilet paper holder and bus seats. To the details in the food, including fresh ingredients. Start off with the jalapeno poppers and/or the sausage rolls for an appetizer. Each has a unique flavor and is cooked to perfection in the softest doughest dough that melts in your mouth. Next you must order a pizza or the wings or a stromboli. Maybe just go in multiple times and try something new each time. We had the Classico Pizza, the pepperoni, fresh basil, and roasted garlic are the perfect cacophony of flavors. Others at the table had a slice of cheese pizza which was perfectly cooked with the perfect gooey dough and cheesiness. A vegetarian stromboli, filled with artichoke, spinach and Olive Tapenade. Well yet another member of our party enjoyed the Sweet Chili wings, a messy but delicious dish enjoyed to the last bone. Add the atmosphere and the delicious food to the incredibly friendly service and you have the perfect meal. A must stop if you're going down 25 and find yourself hungry. Or if you need a sweet treat as they have delectable ice cream and...
Read moreExcellent pizza, my family of 4 adults shared the Snow Pig, it was good and we were all full afterwards (~$40 for 4 ppl not bad). It felt like it took a little while for us to get the pizza but that might have just been because I was starving. It was delicious though, very fresh, worth the wait. Great atmosphere, such a cute theme of an old fashion auto mechanic, theme well continued throughout restaurant with time-frame appropriate music to match. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Two 🚻 single bathrooms, smelled clean and looked clean (though they do have the trash can lids that make it impossible to throw away your paper towel without touching the lid, it would be better if they ditched the lids on those same trash cans and put them by the door for those of us who like to open the door with the paper towel before throwing it away). They have seating inside and outside and there's a nice bar, the drinks looked good, and the self serve water was free. We were looking for a cute local restraunt for dinner on our way home from the Sand Dunes and this was perfect! You should definitely...
Read moreWhat an awesome small town experience!!!! We traveled 11hrs and stopped at Walsenburg for the night on March 10th. I had google mapped restaurants so we can figure what was available to eat before hand. Pizza is an easy thing to grab and go so we checked out the menu on their website. We ordered the ranchers pizza no onions and garlic knots. My husband went in to pick our food up. As I was waiting, I noticed how many ppl were stopping and either picking up food or staying. It was definitely the hopping place in town. When my husband came out he had explained how cool the inside was. It had a little store where he was able to get a pizza keychain since he collects them. So it was 10 min before we ate our pizza (hotel check in). It was still hot!! Tasted awesome, garlic knots to die for!! My husband was able to talk with the owners and hear their story. Which he loves because we use to own our own small town restaurant many moons ago. We absolutely feel it is important to support small businesses. ...
