I've been eating at La Casa Blanca since it very first opened. As a matter of fact, I remember when it really was a White House and people lived in it! I especially like the atmosphere on the patio and the front bar/dining area. The back dining room doesn't have as good of a vibe. The patio has outdoor fireplaces and lots of trees and shade. Our server was a great young lady. Friendly and efficient! Kept the chips, salsa and beverages full at all times. The chips aren't as thin as I like but they're good. The salsa is quite spicy...not pico. I ordered my regular, Pollo Fundido, and my husband ordered Enchilada Blancas with chili verde. We split our two dishes and I preferred his! I'd order that again! I feel like the portion sizes here have shrunk since I last ate here. My dad had the Sonoran Enchiladas and my sister had chicken fajitas. We all enjoyed the meals but I can't say this is my favorite Mexican food. I have other restaurants I like better. It was my dad's birthday so they gave him a complimentary dessert!

Has a 3.5% charge for using a credit card. It is well advertised and I am fine with it at face value. 3 of us dined at 5:15 pm and our bill arrived at $64.86. I gave the server $100 bill. He comes back several minutes later and says he can not make the $35.14 in change. I was a bit in disbelief as it seems any restaraunt, especially those who are pushing customers to use cash, would have a cash drawer of well above $50 to make change. In any event, I offered to use my credit card provided they waived the fee. The server refused. I asked to speak to the manager and the waiter went and spoke to them and they refused. I again asked to personally speak to the manager. He said ok. 5 minutes later he still had not come to the table. Ironically I had exactly $65 in smaller bills....which is exactly what we left on the table as we walked out. If you are going to require or push for cash payments, then have at least $35 to make change.

Whether the craving hits at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can be sure to find something to satisfy it at Casa Blanca Restaurant. This traditional Mexican eatery specializes in authentic Mexican dishes and seafood. The staff are friendly, the environment is lively, the food is delicious, and the servings are generous. Only the best ingredients are used to prepare each dish and you’ll find a wide variety of options on the menu. Appetizers, omelettes, enchiladas, fajitas, tostadas, burritos, soups, and more than 150 different entrées are some of the items you’ll find on the menu. Happy hour is every weekday, and the drinks menu features a wide selection of cocktails, margaritas, tequilas, and wines.

If it was possible, I would give this place ZERO stars, actually negative stars. My family had hands down the WORST service experience here we have ever had at any restaurant in AZ. The sad part is we had been coming to this place for several years now, and even had my 30th Birthday party with family and friends here last year. We have noticed the both the quality of the food and quality of the service has been severely declining recently. However, tonight's debacle takes the cake for all time worst experience ever. Here's what happened...

We arrive at 6:15 and get a table for 5 plus a highchair. We are seated within less than 5 minutes. Server arrives (Sean) soon after we sit down and gets water for the table. We had to wait a while for him to take our order because he disappeared for a bit... maybe waited 15 min for him to come back. Here is where things really start to go south... so we are waiting, and waiting, and waiting... at about 6:50 he comes out and says our food should arrive shortly. Then 7:00 rolls around, still no food. Then the table next to us (about 6-8 people I think) that arrived a good 30 minutes or so AFTER us gets their food. Then another table that arrives after us gets their food too... then a table of 4 that arrived literally 15 minutes ago, gets their food. Now we are thinking something is wrong with this picture.

So we ask for our server, he is no where to be found. So we wait... and wait... and wait... AGAIN. When he does show up, we ask for our food to-go because we have been waiting over an hour at this point (it was 7:20pm) and we had no food and had to go because our baby was getting fussy. He takes my husbands credit card to charge us for our food and says he will bring it right back... 10 minutes later... STILL NO FOOD and no server to be found, which means my husbands card has gone missing.

In this time frame I had gone to the front to speak with the Manager with my Mom to let her know what happened and to see if they could locate our server, food and most importantly our credit card. The manager, the sorry excuse for a manager that is, arrives and is downright rude. She never apologizes and only says "we are really swamped" as I look around at half full rooms of people and say "are you serious?". We have been waiting well over an HOUR, all of the tables around us have food, the people that arrived 15 minutes ago next to us have their food. We want to leave and we want our card now. She disappears in the back and never returns.

Meanwhile in the dining room... my food arrives (at 7:45pm) and guess what... they put it on FLOUR tortillas, even though I specifically asked for corn and said I cannot have flour because of a gluten intolerance. My husband noticed the mistake and asked the waiter "are these flour? My wife can't have flour, we told you that." and the waiter (Sean) says "well yes, but she can just scrape the food off and eat it without the tortilla." WHAT!?!? You have to be kidding me!?!? So someone with an allergy should just "scrape food off" to eat it?? This is literally no joke... the guy actually said "scrape it off, she will be fine"

We then say, we are leaving please give our card back... and the waiter said he didn't charge it. We get home and check our account... guess what?? THEY CHARGED THE CARD!!! For food that arrived over an hour late, was cold, the wrong thing, and most of all this waiter was so ignorant to suggest "scraping it off to eat it". The ignorance and lack of any fiber of customer service or common sense is baffling.

Save yourself the hassle and go to a different place where the wait staff is helpful, and the food is much better... or even arrives at your table. ...

La Casa Blanca is a wonderful restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food as well as a few other small selections. I went to lunch there on October 15th, 2015, and the service was impeccable. As soon as my party and I walked in, we were immediately greeted with a smile. We were asked the size of our party and were immediately shown to a booth to sit down, located near a window with an aesthetically pleasing view of the patio. The atmosphere of La Casa Blanca is best described as comforting. The style is friendly and entertaining without being garish or any kind of displeasing. The booths are comfortable and the bathrooms are well kept. The parking lot is gravel but located completely adjacent to the restaurant, and parking is ample for any size group of guests. The landscaping of the restaurant is well groomed and in accordance with the natural dressings of the desert, and it welcomes any local Arizonan seeking great nourishment. I ordered a Chile Verde Chimichanga, a combination of two of my favorite Mexican delicacies. My companion ordered a Chile Verde burrito with a side of rice and beans. These were prefaced by a complimentary bowl of chips with salsa and bean dip, which I highly commend but also recommend saving room for your hearty entree- most of which hover in price around eleven dollars or so. Drinks and dessert will cost a dining couple around seven dollars total, so the bill will come around twenty-eight dollars, just as the bill did for me and my companion. Our tip was four dollars, so our grand total came out to thirty two dollars. For a three course meal and drinks, the price is extremely competitive and really proves a quality meal can be affordable. Our overall experience at La Casa Blanca was amazing, and is all owed to an incredible wait staff that made our dining experience what it was. They were quick with the food and with the bill and were very kind in their exchanges with all diners. As we left, one employee thanked us for coming with a great big smile and the image still...

I’m response to “D B’s” review right before mine, this is the server who didn’t keep an eye on your tea. Before I respond to that situation I just want to say throwing your card down in front of me and muttering “poor service” and is terribly rude. Regardless of if you had to sit for two minutes without tea or not. I had been at the restaurant since 10:30 am. I opened the place and was still there to close it. I have little to no time to relieve myself during my shift and I had to at some point resulting in you having to spend two minutes without tea in your cup. Not to mention, when I brought you your tea, you drank two sips and then left. From the moment you walked in you were unhappy that I had to pour two beers from a servers ticket because I am, in fact, the bartender. While I was directly in front of you and pouring the beer, you got up and went to the host stand to ask if there was anyone at the bar. I was, again, right in front of you and pouring two beers. You were not my only customer either, as I serve the big tables behind where you were sitting. I am also responsible for the phone, to-go orders, and making every drink that is served that night. So yes, I could not greet you immediately, however you weren’t sitting for more than 3 minutes before I could get to you. Yelling that you’ve been waiting for tea at me, while I’m in the middle of getting your tea, is not necessary and not how I would ever, nor should anyone ever, treat someone who is spending there day working to serve YOU. I will never understand why certain customers choose to be impatient and rude to service staff on top of it. Then you chose to leave a rude review after telling me poor service and leaving a dollar tip. Also, you ate your whole chimichanga so it couldn’t be that bad :( have a...
