While the product is good the customer service is horrible. I understand entry level job opportunities for teenagers however they need to learn customer service as well as get proper training. Especially with their own coupons. Went on 6/29 was over charged for a twirl. She tried to blame it on the signage. I asked her to let her manager know the sign was wrong. She got her manager who used to work for same company I do so knows excellent guest service. He corrected it saying she over charged me. However when he wasn't present in the past teens don't know how to count cash and coins & short changed me. This time 7/7/22 at 8:23pm I had 1 of their coupons for BOGO cone. So got a large cake cone ($3.99) with 1 topping ($0.99) and then another large cake cone ($3.99) with 1 topping ($0.99). Katelyn rang it in and when I presented coupon I was only discounted ($2.19) the code on receipt said accomplishment certificate NOT bogo. I was not given a receipt at first. I had to check my bank account as she never told me the new total from $10+ and I had a funny feeling. Yep was right. Was charged $8.35 that's when I asked for a receipt. Then asked her why it's not equal. She said the toppings are extra. I said I get that however buy one get one means the whole thing and the base price of the cone is listed $3.99. Upset and frustrated when she said "well do you want a bigger discount" I replied I want you to do your job right and left. The teenagers were more distracted by a friend in front of me in the drive thru then...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at the Twistee Treat location in Kissimmee. I went through the drive-thru and ordered one simple item: a chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone. The drive-thru was extremely slow despite barely any line, which was frustrating but I waited patiently.
When I finally got my cone, the ice cream was so slanted it looked like it was about to fall right into my lap. I politely asked for a new one. The woman at the window—who I believe was a manager, and had purple hair—proceeded to shake the cone in an attempt to straighten the ice cream instead of just remaking it. When I told her that wasn’t acceptable, she gave me serious attitude, closed the window without a word, and went to get another one.
A teenage boy came back with a second cone, and somehow it was even worse than the first—completely lopsided and barely holding together. At that point, it honestly felt like they were doing it on purpose just because I had the nerve to ask for it to be fixed.
I was so upset I pulled into the parking lot, walked up to the window, and told them directly: “What is this garbage?” The entire interaction was unprofessional, rude, and made me feel like an inconvenience for expecting a basic level of service and product quality.
I work in the food and service industry myself, and this was hands-down the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Customers should never be treated this way, especially over something as small and easy as a basic ice cream cone. Absolutely unacceptable—I will...
Read moreBest value for dollar anywhere around Orlando!
We have visited this location each time we have been luck enough to make our way to Orlando.
The selection is amazing (take a step back, and look at all options before getting up to the order window, no matter what you choose, it will be delicious!) Cones, skakes, sundaes, all fantastic. If the group you are with (we were eight, four in the family and four grandparents with us) are willing to share, get a mix of items and share.
The price is amazing for the portions you receive. Actually, the price is great regardless of the portion! Very affordable for everyone.
Portions are HUGE!! So, if you only want a small, you may want to ask them to make it small, as a 'normal small' is anything but! Which, again, is why I say this is the best value for dollar.
Great service, you may have to patient when it gets busy, but it's worth the wait, believe me!
Not too much coverage from the sun while you are waiting, especially if the table with umbrellas are taken, so wear a hat (seems strange to suggest these things for an ice cream stop, but you will be happy you wore one if you have to wait a bit). No inside seating, this is a standalone building (in the shape of a soft serve ice cream cone), and the only seating are picnic tables outside.
Hope you enjoy, as we have each time we have visited, and have never been...
