CRAZY CRAB — Restaurant in Four Corners

Seated a request for a party of nine rather quickly and we received water fast, as well as plates and forks. Due to some late arrivals, we didn't get our orders in for 30 minutes or so. Appetizers came out quickly, and server notified us once we had placed our entree order they would ensure they came out at the same time. One of our party had an allergy to pickles, but dipped shrimp in tartar sauce. Absolutely not the fault of the establishment or server. Drinks came regularly until our meals arrived. Our server seemed to disappear at this point. The restaurant clearly got more busy, but as some, then most, then all of us finished our meals, the server wasn't seen. After engaging with another person on the staff, the server returned to confirm the ticket split, and we went on our way. Overall, not a bad experience, but certainly could have finished better.

Dishes: Fried Catfish Platter. Nothing much to say that isn't on the label. Serviceable, acceptable. Fries were crispy, fish was tender. Not enough tartar sauce, no slaw was to be found on the menu. Worth the price, but coulda used some slaw to break it up.

Loved: left the pitcher of water, early service was superb, dishes came out hot and fresh. Only one missed item in the order of our party of 9. Seated almost immediately

Liked: Decor, ambiance, appearance of wait staff, table set up.

Didn't like: Music was dance music? Bench seating not the most comfortable.

Hated: drop in service. Had to flag down someone to figure out where our server went.

Absolutely delicious! I spent 4 days looking for seafood after the initial place I chose didn't pan out. I finally settled (or so I thought) on Crazy Crab. Only, it wasn't settling at all! We were greeted kindly at the door and taken quickly to our seats. Our server came immediately and began taking our orders. Listen, from the appetizers to our main courses, Every. Single. Thing. Was. Delicious. We started with the calamari. Hot, fresh, seasoned. Then we added crab bites and bam bam shrimp. Also served hot. Now the crab bites were ok, not a must have, but ok. I'm more of a lump crab type and these were not that, lol. But for an inexpensive appetizer, they were on par. The bam bam shrimp were fried lightly and sauced. The sauce was yummy, just a bit of heat, and a creamy, sweet flavor. For our meals we chose the S1, the fried shrimp basket, the chicken tender basket, and the shrimp pasta. The portions are definitely worth the money, like some other reviews mentioned. We ended up with leftovers of 3 of our 4 main courses. The atmosphere was calm and made for a peaceful & enjoyable dining experience. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. There was also a photographer who took a complimentary photo and also had larger prints for purchase. Would definitely visit again! The food was ok . The service is what makes it horrible. From the looks there is plenty of reviews already stating the service is bad so I will share my experience as well. Our server was an older Asian lady with minimum English speaking skills (nothing wrong with that, just hard to understand) . I tried to tell her what I wanted but all she kept saying was 2 iteams . Ok ? That told me nothing. The order already came with 2 sides , I was confused as to what she meant because she could not explain that I had to pick 2 types of seafood to be in my order . Instead she proceeded to repeat 2 and yank the menu from my hand and give a dumb look because I could not understand her broken English. I almost felt assaulted . Why couldn’t she just put in my order for the specific items I was asking for ? Then when she brought the food my mom accidentally tipped her drink over because she didn’t even set it on the table for us but instead just threw it at us like it’s our job . At this point she did not even bring a rag or anything to clean just stood there staring . In all my restaurants visits I’ve had when accidents happen servers are usually willing to help.
