We took a staycation in the area and decided to check out the place because the kitchen was open late. So glad we came in! Parking was easy. Location is right by the river. We were immediately greeted by the bartender, Laura. We told her we were visiting and she rolled out the welcome wagon. She told us about all the local fun things to do. She gave us a history of the town. We tried the special burgers, fries, macaroni salad, onion rings, chili, and cheesecake. Everything tasted amazing! I thought for being a little bar it might just be frozen pizzas or that everything would just be greasy. Instead everything was seasoned and presented well and the drinks were great! We had some fun cocktails. The other customers were friendly and engaging. Laura told us the history of the bar and itâs owners. Itâs great to see a place with so much heart and history. Visit on a Friday when Laura is there she is so great. I tried to tip her a lot for her hospitality and she didnât want to take it all (we snuck it back to her anyway đ) the music was also fun - 80s rock. Prices were very reasonable. The kitchen staff was also really fun. Cheesecake is from a local baker and it was ridiculously good. Thanks for the great time! We will...
Read moreI went here on my off day. As many of my customers have raved about the food. I looked here on Google for the menu and pictures of food. I decided on the BBQ Italian beef sandwich with Cajun Homemade Chips. As I thought I was done placing my order with what a regular called him Sexy bartender. I believe his name was Wilbur. Then, on a board by kitchen, I see CHEESECAKE! So, I added a piece of Pistacho Cheesecake. My Italian knows no bounds. The food was as good as I heard! The beef was harty and tasty. The homemade chips are amazing. Though my customers tell me try the Garlic. Next vist, I may get both. The cheesecake was very delicious. The atmosphere was great. I was met warmly by a wonderful lady, Sherry and Sexy Wilbur. I was happy to see they have Leinenkugel. My next girls' night out. I'm coming here! In summer, you can pull upon your boat. And has outside seating along the river. Inside good beer, good food, Sexy Wibur(sometimes), & and gambling. Meet me there for Shots...
Read moreThis review is a response to the person who said she felt racism and discrimination the minute she walked in, and stated all the customers are white trash. That person obviously knows nothing about the Dead End. First off the owner is an Okinawa/American The head chef is a Latino Also, There are other people working there from Ukraine, Poland, Mexico and an exchange student from India. Itâs like the United Nations over there.
There was an instance when a non regular made a comment about the âMexicansâ working here He was convinced by the clientele that it was time for him to leave
Racism NO great food and fun times YES
itâs sad that one person had to wait for her food and felt it was racism, itâs called being a busy popular place to eat, sometimes there is a wait. She needs to get her facts straight before she plays that card.
Just wanted to set the...
