Went 12-14-24, for dine in around 7 PM. Sat in for dinner. Noticed it was damn cold. Ordered tamal, arroz con pollo, Lomo saltado and causa. While waiting for food, it was so freezing inside, my wife went to the car to bring in a portable heater she has in trunk. Plugged it in next to our table. Tamal was just okay, little meat, mostly masa, best part was it was hot. Then arroz con pollo came out, really bland or not enough flavor or cilantro, can tell the sauce is watered down, as the rice was almost white instead of the dark cilantro green color. Our food got cold fast in there after 3 bites and we took Lomo and causa to go. Lomo was again OK, no cilantro, meat was tough, maybe 2 slices of tomatos, 2 slices of onions. Bland and definately could have been made better Out of all Peruvian spots maybe a 2 out of 10 rating food wise. Not sure how people like it, wished they would tried other spots and see what they are missing. Rating this place 5 stars is just bananas. Here is a tip, next time heater is broken and dining room is about 40 degrees freezing, warn your customers the heater is broken and instead of waiting for us to order food to dine in thinking it will warm up. I def wouldn't recommend for the food, let alone the ambience and freezing cold. Also If you dine in and you can't finish the food because it's freezing cold, because your heater is broken, dont have the audacity to charge dine in customers extra, because its freezing due to broken heater in your restaurant for to go cartons because their food got cold within 1 minute of serving it is...
Read moreTonight, my family and I ordered a platter rotisserie chicken, rice, salad & fries via Delivery. When the items arrived, the rotisserie chicken was missing! Instead, we got TWO containers of rice.
my father called in to notify them of the error (he had to call back a handful of time bc initially we kept being promised a call back and getting vague answers regarding a resolution; even w his offering to come in to pick up).
Eventually, a young lady said the woman who initially delivered the food would be back around to deliver the chicken. we waited thirty minutes and began to fear they’d close on us and it wouldn’t be resolved tonight...
Eventually the woman did return and, get this... ASKED FOR THE SECOND CONTAINER OF RICE BACK in exchange for the rotisserie chicken. Just as we’d suspected (but hoped wasn’t the case) they must have gotten our order switched w another delivery order and was coming back to “switch them” not even knowing if we (or the family that receive OUR order) had done anything to the food !
EXTREMELY UNSANITARY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. when my dad gave the (untouched) rice back in exchange for the chicken, some pieces had been separated but we were unable to tell for certain if it was tampered with.
BEWARE of this little shack. My family loved the food up until this point. I myself Never ordered from here before and NEVER will again. And will definitely be submitting tip off to local health authorities regarding this incident. Again, not only poor customer service, but a...
Read moreI was always curious about this place. I finally stopped by shortly after they opened their doors today. I am glad that I did. The lady behind the counter was very polite. The place a empty, they just opened, it was clean and nicely set up. The menu had lots of items. I ordered half a chicken with rice. They placed roasted corn kernels on the table as an appetizer. They were interesting. They reminded me of eating something similar with my uncle as a child. They were good, and it was cool to experience an unexpected childhood memory. The meal came out quickly. The fried rice reminded me of pork fried rice at a Chinese restaurants but it had small pieces of chicken instead. It was exciting to try something new yet familiar. It was very good. The chicken was roasted to perfection. I would like to pretend I ate like a gentleman of class and a good upbringing. The chicken looked and smelled so good that I tore into it. It was juicy. The skin was delicious. I definitely will order from there again. I also purchased a cookie, alfajores. It was not very sweet but had a powdered sugar coating and a fruit jam filling. It was different. I recommend trying it out. I also purchased other items at the register, and I assumed they were prepackaged cookies and chocolate snacks from Peru. I like to try snack foods from different countries. I wasn't disappointed. They were not as sweet as American snacks, but they were good. I recommend you go and have fun ordering....
