Truly Spoiled Salon & Boutique — Local services in Franklin Township

I will not be returning nor recommending this salon. I called in advanced to make an appointment and explained to the owner/grandmother that I wear cornrows and a wig and would like them taken out, washed and braided back down again. This is my routine in the winter months. I was told she would speak to Yolanda and have her call me. She called and asked that she text me which wasn't a red flag because I prefer text messages for appointments. I get there and she brings me to the sink. I explained to her that I wear my hair in cornrows and would like them taken out and then washed. She tells me, "I do not take out other people's braids. I have carpal tunnel. I can braid your hair the way I can do it but taking it out is too much on my hands." Now I have to worry whether you are appropriate to do my hair? By the way, this was the worst appointment I've had in years. Just unprofessional and your staff may need to consider changing professions if she is unable to do the job due to limitations. First time visiting the shop. The owner is a very nice lady. She welcomed me and gave me a tour of the boutique and salon. The shop was beautifully decorated in purple colors. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. I made an appointment with Tierra for a color.
