Candito’s Pizzeria and Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Franklin Township

I've driven by many times and decided to give Candito's a shot; what the heck, it's only pizza. Called ahead to order a Sicilian syle, but unfortunately "we are all out of Sicilian." Hmm, ok, I'll take a deluxe traditional pizza. Was told it would be ready for pickup in 20-30 minutes. I arrive at 35 minutes and it wasn't quite ready. Some sort of problem with the credit card machine. Whilst I waited for things to be sorted out, I along with 4 other customers, who were also waiting, was able to watch the staff behind the Covid barrier run the store. A bit discombobulated at best. It did not appear that there was any order to what was going on. Lot's of people, but not a lot of pizza or ice cream coming out of the kitchen. At the 40 minute mark, my pizza popped out of the kitchen and I offered to pay cash since the person at the counter was still wrangling with the credit card "system." Overall, the pizza was just fine - I give it 4 stars. Not the best, but by all means, not the worst I've ever had at much nicer places. Although there is a "dining room" at Candito's, it's pretty funky and really resembles a place that a person would just take their to-go pizza from the pickup counter, sit down and eat it instead of going to wherever it is that people go with take-out pizza. Recently my husband placed our usual order and we thought we were good. So he goes to pick up the food and our bank had froze our account due a reimbursement check from my employer that the bank believed was fraudulent and closed my account. This was supposed to have been corrected and credit cards were supposed to be reactivated. Needless to say that didn't happen and the owner of Candito's Pizzeria let us take the food home after they ran our cards over 7 times and received all denied responses back. Accumulating fees from the cc card machine company for each card swipe, he said come back & pay us as soon as you get this straight. It took days for this to get fixed. At no point in time did he even call or text us for payment. My husband went & paid for our food and fees and the owner was again so grateful for us to come back and do the right thing!! We decided to do something a little different and travel a little bit for dinner. Found this place i liked that it had pizza and ice cream. The service was amazing. The young lady was very nice. I ordered a six cut pizza and a calzone that was the biggest 6 cut pizza that I think I've ever seen. My daughter ordered cheese raviolis and it was amazing and it was way more than she could eat. My boys split wings and they loved them both. It was pretty cool that the owner came out to check on everybody in the dining room to see how everything was going and everybody was happy. Then him and I sat there and bullshitted for a minute. I'm definitely going to come back with the rest of my family. This place was really good. The ice cream was also very very good.
