China Buffet — Restaurant in Franklin Township

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about the reviews for this restaurant is that many comments lack body, so I will try to cover everything I’ve noticed about this restaurant. For starters, the food is great if you’re looking for fast-food Chinese food. If you’re looking for authenticity or for high level Chinese food, then this is not your place. But if you’re hungry and want good quality fast food that isn’t burgers or something, Then this is a great choice. All the food has excellent flavor (I didn’t have desert though so idk about that, and the imitation crab in butter is weird) and the buffet area is clean. The one thing I will say about the buffet is that the labels are either in confusing areas or they don’t have labels for their food. The atmosphere is nice, it’s very quiet and relaxing. The place is run down but I would like for people to keep in mind that this place has been here a very long time and they are gratefully understaffed. They also don’t seem to bring in enough customers for a renovation. The place is still clean, just a little outdated. They literally have one lady running the dining room area and it seems like very few kitchen staff. The lady is very very nice and does a great job. Please have sympathy and compassion towards this restaurant. It’s not going to be 100% because they don’t have the money or staff to be 100%. BEST Chinese place around !! I’m trying to upload pictures lol , I’ve been coming here since I was like 7, I was a really picky child so I would just order rice lol now that I’m 21 and I live back in the ellwood area, me and my fiancé have been ordering from this restaurant. The first time we ordered the spare rib , chicken on a stick & we each got a rice. The meat is SO good!! The boneless spare rib tastes so good & such a great deal for that amount of meat. (I like eating it with chopsticks😂)The chicken on a stick is very tasty and fun to eat! We’ve already been back several times for the same order lol. We actually tried some other Chinese restaurants around here but NONE of them compare. The lady that works here, just told me today she’s been here for 15 years, and actually remembers me from when I was little! (Even though I’ve bleached my hair and grown a lot lol) Anyways , this is a clean and FRIENDLY environment. You’re always greeted with a smile, and if you’re waiting for food, she will give you updates like “we’re just waiting for the chicken” . You won’t ever feel forgotten. Your food will taste like a million bucks Even if you come in right before closing, you still get treated with respect. I could go on and on with great things to say about this restaurant . Enjoy going here for lunch always fresh and stocked for the lunch rush, and prices for lunch buffet are decent. Dinner time I feel is a little over priced for having exact same thing they have for lunch, and every time we are here for dinner there is always empty bins or close to being empty that seem as if they have been there for few hours. We do enjoy going here for lunch awesome prices and food is good. Dinner Is overpriced and never fully stocked. We don’t mind paying a decent price for buffet for a family of 5 dinner just wish they had a change up with a few different options between dinner and lunch or more...
