McDonald's — Restaurant in Franklin

This review was originally posted 3 years ago, but I got the location wrong because I was also going to the McDonald's in Kittanning at the time. The notification to review popped up on my phone and I wasn't paying attention to the location.

Yeah, after riding 27.5 miles on the Allegheny River Trail, the McDonald's in Franklin PA wouldn't serve me because I was on a bicycle in their drive-thru. Thank goodness there was a water fountain in Riverfront Park. Because they wouldn't serve me, I have no idea as to the quality of their service or anything beyond my experience above. It was my first ride of this length during the pandemic and I had forgotten a mask so I couldn't go in anywhere and had used up all the water I could carry. Again, thankfully there was water in the park or I may have been so dehydrated on the ride back that I would have passed out with...

They can mess up your order 7/10 times but the one time you actually say something about it they give you attitude. They forgot my extra bacon like they do all the time on my McGriddle and today I finally said something when I ordered and you could tell after that they had a bunch of attitude. Then the last couple weeks the sweet tea has been so bad not sweet and it taste like it was made with bad tap water and finally today asked to switch my medium sweet tea out with a small orange juice and the manager said “no you payed for a sweet tea” which I understand and I told her it didn’t taste right and she proceeded to tell me “Noo I just drank some and it tasted fine”. Sent me on my way didn’t ask to refund the sweet tea or maybe get me something else. Done going to McDonald’s period...

If I could I would give a zero for this place. Absolutely the slowest and does not return phone calls! I waited in drive-thru for approx 10min then when I got to the window to receive my food was told to move forward and wait longer. I waited an additional 15 min (approx) then drove off without food bc I was traveling and had no more time to continue waiting. I called the McDonald's immediately after I left and asked for manager. She took my address and said they would mail me a refund. After waiting almost 2 weeks called back to talk to store manager and left my number. They were supposed to call me back. To date I have not received a refund or phone call. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will not return to this...
