14JUL19 After a small absence, I returned today for Sunday brunch and was sorely disappointed. I can no longer recommend the Brunch.
No one was there. One gentleman arrived as we left. They had a full section of a salad bar opened. Probably cheaper for them overall but I don’t think of salads for brunch. They had one small tray holding bacon, role, small pancakes. No French toast nor sausage ( sausages were the best part of breakfast ) The edge of the sweet cake was burned. The prime rib was raw. Not even rare, more like pâté! Dinner items were some chicken dish and some pasta dish. That pretty much was it although they did have ham and desserts.
If I ever return, I will go and review all the food before I even sit down. I probably won’t be back for awhile, though. I wonder if people quit coming so they cheapened their offerings (but not their price) or if the reverse happened. A facet of which came first, the chicken or the egg? In any event, I recommend keeping away from these chickens.
I left my old review below:
Only have eaten Sunday Brunch here a few times. Lots served at the buffets and all of it is delicious. They even have ham and beef from which they carve a slice for you. Great desserts, too. IIRC, price was...
Read moreAparently I rented the party room in the hotel from the Ale House and paid them $150 for my sons 2nd birthday party. We got there an hour early and the room was nice the tables were terrible old wooden stained tables if she would of told me how they looked I would have bought table cloths for all tables. Then the thermostat was set at 60 and locked. My grandma and my son (who was very sick with croup) were so cold their noses were red my grandma couldnt even take her coat off. I went to pay before the party started and tell them it was way to cold and she said that the lady would stop up and I never seen the lady. I stopped at the front desk before I left and asked if they wanted the money for the room and they had to call the girl to come get the money from me. As she walks up to me she had the ONE full garbage bag from the party and asked if I can take it out because there is a diaper on top and that's nasty! I was very angry considering I paid $150 for NOTHING! SHE COULDNT EVEN TAKE THE DANG GARBAGE OUT OR STOP TO MAKE SURE...
Read moreFirst time trying the other night, and my party was kind of underwhelmed. Good points- our waitress was nice, and the service was pretty fast for how busy they were. 'Polish wings' were yummy, with real garlic. Steak was of a good quality. My friend ordered the menu item of risotto topped with steak that came with one side. The waitress took her order with 2 sides, which confused us. When food arrived, it was just a steak with one side. We explained that we had ordered the steak risotto with one side. She came out with a bowl of risotto, which wasn't very good- it's rice in a bland white sauce. Then we get the bill, and we were charged extra for a side of risotto, even though it is what we originally ordered- the second side that was included with the meal she was charged, we never got. So we were charged $3 for what we should have already had, and for what wasn't very good. I wasn't paying, so when they didn't want to say anything out of politeness, I didn't push them. Kind of not...
