When I ordered the basil and tofu roll, I half expected it to jump up and serenade me with flavors. Instead, it whispered, "I forgot the shrimp, carrots, and most of the basil." It was like attending a concert where the main act is rice and greens, with basil making a brief cameo. The sauce tried its best to impress, but, alas, came off a tad introverted. And patience is key here, folks, since every dish seems to take its sweet time to doll up before making its appearance. The spicy duck, on the other hand, strutted its stuff on the plate, deep-fried to perfection and bursting with flavor. Now, the fried rice seemed to have missed the memo about a party and showed up a tad underdressed, missing many of the classic stir-fry guests. The catfish was, well, a catfish. No complaints, no praises, just a "meh". Our waitress played a spirited game of hide and seek with us throughout the evening, making appearances rarer than a unicorn. And if you're someone who loves mood lighting, you'll enjoy the "lost in a cave" ambiance. In the grand opera of dining experiences, this place hits a solid C note. It's not the headliner, but it's not the one you boo off the stage either. So, if you're up for a bit of culinary roulette, give it a whirl! 🎲🍽️

6/30/19 Update: Food is still good, but their portions have greatly shrunk & prices went up. They now have a 4% surcharge they are passing to the customer (no notice on the door, menu or website) if you use your debit or credit card. Our waitress was cocky today too, we overheard other customers complaining about it, so we inquired, she went to her co-worker and said it was none of our business to ask about it, yet we didn't bring cash, only our debit card. She also said we were given lunch portions we were there at 5:30, makes no sense. I would say her name but she never welcomed or introduced herself. It's a bummer, this has been my favorite restaurant for years & we'd drive an hour and 15 min. to get there. It was always a full parking lot and wait, plenty of room today. It's a bummer, we'd drive an hour and 15 min. & it was packed with a wait...not today. (The pictures below are old). 10/15/19-Business sold out to kids, very poor (watery quality-little coconut milk used). Vegetables-one tiny piece of eggplant, the rest was white onions. Such a shame, we used to drive an hour and 1/2 for this food. Don't waste your time or money here. So sad!

We came here after trying to go to a different Thai restaurant in the area and having no success. We came at a good time and were able to be immediately seated. I got a wonton soup to start with, and it was really good. I have only had Chinese-style wonton soups before so I was not used to the vegetables, but I ate all of it because it was delicious. They asked us if we wanted fried noodles to have with our soup, and we said yes. I appreciated that they asked instead of potentially wasting food. I got the phad siew as my entre with chicken, and it was amazing. Next time, I will get pork. The noodles are thick and tender, and the sauce is a unique taste that I cannot quite describe. The white rice was also really good! The service was amazing and we paid cash to avoid the surcharge fee for using cards. The only complaint I would have is that we didn’t get an itemized receipt so I’m not entirely sure what my meal actually cost, but two entrees and two soups made it about $40 after taxes, which really isn’t terrible.

The only thing less appealing than the absolute void of ambience for a dine in experience at this establishment are the self serving rules so crudely printed out on paper and hastily sprawled throughout the restaurant.

The newest I ran into while looking forward to having lunch with my family. "Will not seat unless full party is here." (Paraphrased). I was the first to show up for my party of a whopping 3. Looking forward to my most enjoyable start to a meal, sake and an appetizer while thinking on a meal. That certainly didn't happen as the staff abided by their Times New Roman font printout and continued to seat others as they came in behind me.

Instead of being sat, ordering some drinks and appetizers and soon thereafter, a meal. I left immediately and had my family meet me elsewhere on the same road. Real rich when you lose out a family of 3 ticket and left with nothing.

I get it, "we're continuing to half our dining area and increase rules because pandemic yada yada." It's important to realize there is the exception and there is the rule. The exception being here that nothing would have been lost seating the 1st member of a party of 3. Instead, the rule cost a party of 3 instead.

I really want to keep enjoying this place, and I've tried. Franklin is void of a restaurant culture. Honestly, it's due to establishments ran in this fashion. Void of aesthetic. We came in to dine to have sake and appetizers. I suppose I didn't miss much since the last time I was dining in the microwaved sake wasn't even to temperature. Stick with take out, if anything, and avoid dine in at all costs.

I did see a party of 1 sat at a 4 top, though. Good for them - I imagine the next rule here will be "Parties of 1 cannot dine in, please wait for another...

At this restaurant you will need to decide if eating delicious food is worth being treated inhumanely. There is one good server, a young blonde, the others are extremely mad at the world. I think one review said it seems they hate their lives. You're not kidding. We were told our entrees would take an hour and 15 minutes before they would arrive at our table. We still decided to eat there because the food is so incredible. When the food did arrive my husband said we decided to just get it to go and asked if they could pack it up but a few seconds later (literally a few seconds) we decided we would stay and eat there. The food was still on the plates. The young Asian girl says, "we'll just pack it up" and proceeds to the kitchen. She made the decision for us! Wow. We let our waitress know we were only tipping on the drinks and appetizers we were served, since the other young lady decided for us that we weren't staying to eat our entrees. This waitress snaps at us stating, "well she wasn't your waitress." In other words you want us to pay a tip on the amount that we weren't served?? After the audacity of this young lady she's lucky we let her keep the tip at all. We were starting to spend about $50 every week, as it was our go-to while our children were in dance. We are happy to give our hard earned money to Thai Paradise for the amazing chefs, but these two waitresses will not see another dime from us or from our very extended family, friends, or business contacts...

Sadly I can’t rate the food at all but the service was extremely poor and unwelcoming on Saturday, June 7, 2025. We arrived at 5:30 in the evening, five of us in total which included my 95 year old aunt who can barely hobble in with her walker. The restaurant was not crowded and there were plenty of tables but they ONLY seated four people (although the tables were certainly large enough to accommodate another chair or even two. There were two larger tables that seated six or eight people, but these were occupied. I was told that we could only be seated separately! Two separate tables for a small party of five people?! They refused to add another chair to a table even though there was plenty of space around the empty tables in the large dining room. They refused to put two tables together, even though it would have been a very simple thing to do. The young woman at the door was adamant that we could only be seated at separate tables, no other way. Well needless to say we left. My elderly aunt had to make her way back out to the car again and our out of town guests, who we wanted to enjoy a nice dinner with (AT THE SAME TABLE) and I went down to the Siam Thai restaurant down in Otto. We had an excellent meal with friendly service and enjoyed our...
