When I told the barista that the half and half was spoiled (it had chunks in it and was was obviously curdled) she said “no it’s not I smelled it earlier” and then turned to her friend and laughed. I had to throw away my cup of coffee and leave. Won’t ever return.

EDIT after reading the response from the barista. Wow. Let’s talk about what actually happened: I pointed out that the creamer was clearly spoiled (visible chunks floating around in my cup of coffee) and instead of addressing it professionally, the barista brushed it off, laughed with a friend, and made it clear she didn’t care. No apology. No concern. Just attitude.

I left because it was obvious the problem wasn’t just the bad creamer... it was the worse customer service. And now, reading this defensive, paranoid, conspiracy theory filled response confirms exactly why I won’t be back.

When a business can’t handle basic feedback without lashing out at a customer just trying to enjoy a simple cup of coffee, it’s a sign of a much bigger problem than dairy. Definitely a little too hip for us. Seems more of a yoga studio than a serious coffee shop. Our latte was okay but had a bitter aftertaste to me. Took like 20 minutes to get our lattes when there were only two people in front of us. I felt bad because the lady behind the counter was like 8 months pregnant with absolutely no help.

The shop wasn't set up very efficiently either.. She had to weigh out beans per order and grind them, fill the espresso machine with water by hand, and pour the syrup from a bottle (went wayyy too heavy handed at first.. Glad we noticed). There's a lot to love here. Great atmosphere in a gorgeous space, especially appealing for those looking to relax or work. However, I found the cost to value ratio incredibly off. I ordered a seasonal drink - a hibiscus tea spritz. For just half tea / half seltzer, I was shocked to spend $6.50 for 6oz of glorified water. Ordered the "quiche" of the day - and it was good. But, I missed the memo (or signage somewhere?) that it was GF/crustless - so that's on me and I acknowledge that. I'd go by again because I think it's important to shop local, I'd just like to...
