Came in for dinner on a Wednesday and was seated promptly. It was the middle of July so not quite their busy season! We sat out on the patio and had a nice table up close to the building. It was windy so being up tight to the building was a plus. We ordered a pitcher of Cadillac margaritas and 4 dinners. Everything came promptly and the order was correct. So far so good! First, the Cadillac margarita was good. I think it could be a little tarter but that could just be my love of lime. Second, the meals were fine. It was tasty and we all ate our food without complaints but I think it could have been a little better seasoned. I had a combo that was a Chile relleno, enchilada, and tamale and I can say that the tamale was the surprise win. It was stuffed with chicken and was super flavorful. The enchilada and relleno were just ok. Honestly, in expected a little more seasoning and spice. Nothing was very spicy. All in all, I'm happy with the birthday meal... Just needs a little more flavor on the food! The service was great and the kids got a refill without being asked. If you are looking for a meal with quick service and decent food, this is your place.

First of all, the service is great. I usually order flautas to go, and every employee is welcoming and super helpful. This time, I dined in with a couple of friends. I tried the burrito for the first time, and it had the perfect balance of ingredients! My friend got the flautas (which are my all-time favorite, and as much as I love trying different dishes, I wish I would've just ordered that). My other friend ordered the carne asada plate, which probably was the biggest plate of the 3, and it was only $22. The steak was cooked well, and it was enough for her to have those leftovers for lunch. Also, if you stop by, please try their margaritas! I recommend the 32 oz if you're sharing. The only suggestion I have is that the chips be served as whole as possible. As you can tell in the picture, our plate of chips was just a bunch of crumbs. But at least they serve free chips and salsa, as most restaurants I've noticed have started charging! Lastly, this place is my go-to lunch when I can order take out! It's definitely worth the money.

What an awkward experience. 😬 I asked for a booth and was told those were only for groups of 4 and since I was by myself I would need to sit at a table. I pointed out that two booths were empty and was ā€˜allowed’ to sit in one. The waitress brought my drink, then told me she’d be back to take my order and disappeared for quite a while. Once I had my food, she never checked on me again. She walked by me multiple times to check on others but never returned to my table. I was done eating and waiting for my check. The waitress and the woman at the entrance (owner? Manager?) started arguing across the restaurant. The waitress was raising her voice. It was very awkward. I finally went up to the woman at the front and asked for my check. I was glad to get out of there. And the food was just ok. Not anything special.

Terrible service!!!!! We waited 45 minutes for a table which is no problem busy season and happy to wait. My Friend and I tried to order a frozen flavored margarita, she told us they don't do frozen and only had lime so we ordered a regular margarita on the rocks. Then we see at least 7 other people after us order the frozen flavored margarita!! We asked to order the appetizer platter and she told us " the kitchen is too busy to make it,we need a lot of time to make that for you", okay cool didn't order an appetizer. Our rice came out cold, 2 kids chicken nuggets meals ice cold including fries. She never came back to the table once after be taking our order and dropping it off. She also argued with me after I asked for a coke and she brought diet. I decided to talk with the manager who apologized and removed the margaritas and kids plates from our check. After the manager talked with her when ringing up our bill she came back to the table and told us, " I am sorry I'm just too busy and there is nothing more I can do for you" then walked away with an attitude rolling her eyes. She was talking in Spanish about us as we walked our the door to other customers that seemed to be friends with her, rolling her eyes with an attitude. I can not understand how they let her treat customers like this. I would have tried to eat here again because some food was very good but she was absolutely TERRIBLE and rude our entire visit. DO NOT RECOMMEND until they get...

If I could give zero stars, I would. Fuego Azteca in Winter Park is one of the most overpriced, underwhelming restaurants I’ve ever visited. $48 for their so-called ā€œBIGā€ molcajete is an absolute joke. You’d expect a rich, hearty, traditional molcajete with a proper tomatillo salsa, the green foundation that defines the dish, but instead, you get a dry, flavorless pile of meat and beans that completely misses the mark. The portion was embarrassingly small, maybe one or two ounces of asada at best, and the chicken was overcooked and dry.

Anyone who’s ever eaten at an authentic Mexican restaurant, like LDP in Denver or anywhere that actually understands the culture, will immediately recognize how far off this place is. Even taking into account that Winter Park has higher food costs due to location and logistics, this dish is still $15–$20 overpriced. To make things worse, they threw pinto beans into the molcajete, something no traditional kitchen would ever do.

What Fuego Azteca is selling is not authentic Mexican food, it’s an imitation with tourist prices and none of the heart or flavor. The menu talks a big game, but what shows up on the table is bland, small, and disappointing. Save your money and your appetite, this place is all hype and...

After an amazing experience during our visit to the Hot Sulfur Spring on 08/20/20, my family and I decided to dine at this establishment. We were excited to sit and eat at a family owned Mexican restaurant. We opt to sit outside to continue to enjoy our superb views and our waitress comes to our table and upon completion of our order, she ends her statement with, "just a reminder we do not give separate checks". WHAT? We were the only "BLACKS" in the restaurant and I'm pretty sure that remark was not stated to anyone else who decided to eat at this family restaurant. Due to her inappropriate comment, my family and I made the choice to leave the restaurant. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN OR RECCOMEND ANYONE OF MY NATION TO SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. THIS WAS THE ONLY DISTASTEFUL EXPERIENCE FROM MY WHOLE VACATION IN THE BEAUTIFUL COLORADO FROM NYC!!! I worked in the food industry for 12+ years and have my own Catering Company, I would NEVER treat anyone like they're inferior to me, ESPECIALLY a customer, I don't care if they're purple walking throw the door. You never know who they're and who's they're, that can ultimately bless your life/business!!! Lesson learned for this business...
