If you’re craving a solid slice of pizza in Fraser, Elevation Pizza has the goods—but be prepared for some logistical challenges, especially during peak ski season.
I visited on January 3rd, a busy day for Colorado's ski towns, and the restaurant was packed. The service struggled to keep up with the crowd. Despite the chaos, the lady at the front desk was a standout. Her friendly demeanor, genuine smile, and patient willingness to assist each customer made the experience a bit more tolerable.
We ordered our pizza online, timing our arrival to coincide with its estimated readiness. Unfortunately, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes in the overcrowded restaurant for our order to be completed. When we finally got home, we discovered the pizza hadn’t even been cut—a detail that added to the disappointment after an already frustrating experience.
That said, the pizza itself was quite good—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. It’s clear that Elevation Pizza knows its craft when it comes to taste. However, the operational side of the business struggles under high demand, which detracts from the overall experience.
If you’re in Fraser and have some time to spare, Elevation Pizza is worth a try for its quality food. But if you’re in a rush or looking for efficiency, you might want to look elsewhere—or plan to visit during a...
Read moreThis gets two stars for lack of frame of reference - it is the only pizza place in the area we tried. Maybe they are all like this? Otherwise, this would probably get one.
They have eight seats, all outside. There was no mention on their web page that they're not doing indoor dining. Once we started ordering we were faced with a long list of things they were out of - all salads(?) except spinach only AND we got a call after we had left to kill time waiting for our pizza (you can only eat there if you are lucky to get one of the eight seats, remember?) Saying they didn't have mushrooms for the Supreme pizza we had already ordered and paid for.
We were told they would text when the pizza was ready. I got a text with just a copy of receipt, but there was no indication that this meant the pizza was ready.
When I got to pick up the pizza a half hour later (to take to our hotel, I guess) and asked for ranch I got to pay some more 💰! Honestly had they rolled the price of condiments into the pies I probably wouldn't have been so put off, but I was already kind of cheesed. I wonder if they tell you there is an upcharge for condiments if you want dressing when you order a salad (which they didn't have)?
The pizza itself was pretty tasty, though. I would probably give it another chance to see if it improves next time we...
Read moreWe’ve been enjoying Elevation Pizza for 10 or more years, one of the things to look forward to when we’re in Winter Park. But both of the last orders had exactly the same omission - the pepperonis were left off my wife’s pizza (she only gets 3 toppings). Last time, I drove back to Elevation to pick up a new pizza for my wife. Tonight we were together when we picked up the pizzas. We checked her pizza right before we left, and no pepperonis. They graciously and immediately agreed to correct to problem. Meanwhile, my pizza is sitting on the countertop getting cold. They appear to have put some pepperonis on top of her pizza (no cheese on top of the pepperonis), and maybe put it under a heat lamp? (it looked like the pepperonis were cooked, but the crust was soggy and her pizza was as cold as mine when we got home). So, we’re back home now, waiting on the oven to preheat so we can eat hot pizza. It’s been more than an hour since we placed our order. Their pizza really is delicious - that hasn’t changed. And neither has the extremely friendly, accommodating service. But considering we paid $47 for these 2 12” pizzas that we ordered more than an hour ago, and we had to reheat them at home, I doubt...
