The food actually isn't bad at all. But the problems are elsewhere. The service is really pretty bad given one chooses to sit down and eat the food at the restaurant. For example, there were two of us a couple for lunch. I asked for a cup of water, and he would only give me an empty cup and said I had to buy the water! We ordered us a side dish of french fries, but one small container of ketchup only for two people which is absolutely ridiculous. In the falafels we're just as plain as could be deep fried lumps set on a dish with a small container of cucumber sauce, not the falafels I remember from Grease at all! They weren't bad in flavor, but clearly not representative of the fine Greek food that a simple falafel should be. I ordered a Chicken souvlaki which wasn't bad, but again they were cheap with the vegetables. In summary my recommendation under no circumstances purchase your food and stay at this restaurant to eat it. It's strictly a takeout shop and as Greek food goes it's a solid c+. It's really too bad because it wouldn't take much to get them to be a four or a five-star Greek restaurant but I don't think they're capable of it under the current owner because he is so frugal with everything. Pennywise and pound foolish, they don't realize it's repeat business that counts in this highly competitive food industry. We won't...
Read moreThere was no waiter service here today. We had to order all our food at the counter. The counter clerk then served all our food to us in plastic containers when it was ready. The calamari was also out of stock, which was a huge disappointment. We ordered tap water which we had to pump out of a five gallon bottle.
The lady running the counter was the owner. She named the restaurant after her seven year old daughter Analia, who was born immediately after the restaurant opened.
Despite not actually being Greek-owned, the food was highly satisfying. The shrimp Souvlaki was delicious. The baklava was light and heavenly. The Greek salad was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had in terms of toppings. The gyro had a generous serving of meat. Meanwhile, the moussaka, although unevenly heated, was also satisfying.
We’re docking two stars for the calamari being out of stock, along with the fact there was no table service. We’re adding one extra-credit star because the owner was exceptionally...
Read moreWhat an awesome establishment! The owners have such a great personal touch. I ate inside the restaurant and heard them refer to many of the customers by name. I haven't been to a restaurant in years where the owners actually knew their customer's names. They also allow you to stray away from what's written on the menu. How cool is that?
The owners of the restaurant are just very sweet people. Their customer focus alone is enough to make you want to become a regular at the restaurant.
Now for the food, I had the salmon stuffed with spinach and it was absolutely amazing. I opted to have it served with roasted potatoes instead of rice. The combination was so delightful. For dessert, I had the Baklava cheesecake... Yes, you read that correctly! It was amazing! A plan to add this to my list of regular restaurants. There are so many things on the menu I can't wait to try. You should definitely give this restaurant a try, you won't be...
